Actually not that bad of a line up. Only looking forward to Slayer, Anthrax, and high on fire, and just a tad bit for Slipknot.

Anthrax - super sick, saw them in October at Freakers Ball
Slayer - Raining Fucking Death
As I Lay Dieing - so so
Slipknot- if they play shit from IOWA and not some bleeding heart stonesour shit.

That's really all I want to hear from them. I love their first 2 and a little of the 3rd but their 4th is garbage.

The Mayhemfest lineup isn't complete yet, still more bands TBA. Heavily rumored bands: Motorhead, Primus, Skeletonwitch, Periphery.

So Megadeth/Motorhead/Volbeat/Lacuna Coil are playing in Connecticut tonight and Massachusetts on Sunday, and i'm not going to either. *SADFACE*

Aura Noir, Skeletonwitch and Nekromantheon are coming to town. Probably gonna see them if I have the cash.

Also, there's this local Black Metal band called Vithr. They opened for Taake last fall when they played here. Their singer also goes to the same school as me. He's a good friend of one of my best friends.

Check them out

well most of the tabs i posted were stuff for The Pixies...
and 3 tabs for Hank Is Dead by Red Fang (the intro and when i learned the rest i posted the rest in another tab and accidentally posted the full song twice but i haven't gotten around to deleting the other one). and i haven't posted lyrics for really anything...although when i looked up lyrics for Suicide by Dust they weren't right...

The Red Fang ones will sure come to use. I wouldn't be surprised if they have a very strong popularity within 5 years time.

Don't expect many videos to be uploaded. I just put up whatever I don't see on YouTube and feel it should be shared on there.
ah okay
well i'll still look out to see if you put any videos on there

Now that I think about it, I do have a few in mind but only merging some songs together like Hammers of Misfortune's Fields trilogy to play songs the way they're meant to be played.

Hmm, there shouldn't be any troubles with Windows Media Player, even if you have everything up to date. If it crashes the plugins get deactivated so watch out for that.
well its weird because i know i listened to everything a bunch of times...
and i hope the plugins dont crash :(

Give the plugins a reinstall. My iPod has recently gone wonky on iTunes so I may need to reset some stuff. Thankfully I remember everything I played at work today.

There's nothing metal from my dad's stuff but at least he's got essentials from rock music. However, I did had to fill in some spots with Deep Purple and Rush.

I'd only be enthusiastic to see Anthrax live. My interest in Slayer beyond Reign in Blood isn't magnificent. Motörhead and Primus would save the lineup if they are to be playing there.

It won't be long until I'm back to unemployment. The funny thing is that I'll have less time to listen to music. At least with the place I've been working at they've been OK with me listening to music on my iPod. You may as well do something to make time feel quicker for a job with highly repetitive tasks. When I'm without a job, I'll be sleeping until 12 or 1 in the afternoon.

I think this is quite interresting. I like how Jarzombek always finds a creative way to write his music. I'm pretty sure you guys all remember the track he wrote with Spastic Ink and that was named A Wild Hare. In this track, the band plays sections from the soundtrack of Bambi, and also... Jarzombek wrote riffs to play on his guitar, all the words spoken by Thumper, the bunny who is friend with Bambi. Here is a video someone made to show how the voices in the movie fit with Thumper's voice.

I think the guy is amazing. Not only for his undeniably awesome writting and playing skills on the guitar, but for the originality of his music and concepts in his music.

Yeah, definitely. I'm not a big fan of Symphony of Destruction, Trust, Angry Again, Headcrusher or the three new songs... but the rest of that setlist is fucking gold.

Skull Beneath The Skin? Liar? Wake Up Dead? Peace Sells? Poison Was The Cure? Sweating Bullets? GO TO HELL? They're busting out classics, i'm happy I saw them last night. :D

It was weird seeing the Lacuna Coil chick sing the intro to Go To Hell though, instead of hearing that little kid do it like on the recorded version.

I don't know what Motorhead's setlist was because i'm not a fan of them, but they were really well received so i'm assuming it was good. They played for about 50 minutes. Volbeat and Lacuna Coil both played for about 40 minutes each.

I really don't know about that setlist. It looks kind of cool :) But there is only 7 of the tracks that I would really like to see live. And I don't know most of their most recent stuff, so that might be why I'm not that enthousiast about that gig. 9 of the 24 gigs are in Canada.

Definitely. It's a fantastic EP, and I really like how they keep digging more and more into Death Metal, but in a very unique way. Blotted Science will never be a dm band. They just don't write their music like dm bands do it. But they know how to include elements from the genre and still be Blotted Science.

It's not everybody who can afford to go to gigs like this all the time. The tickets prices are high, and it's not because I didn't attend their "Rust In Peace Tour" that I should be penalised if I want to see some of their other music live. Are you claiming that I should buy tickets for both if I want to enjoy their best music? Change your fuckin' attitude kid.

Because if you expect them to play stuff off RIP, after they did three tours in a row playing that album in entirety, is clearly asking for too much from the band.

That's like complaining about Dream Theater setlists in 2008 completely ignoring Images & Words, despite their world tour the year before they played that album in entirety for the 15th anniversary.

Besides - Go To Hell, Liar and Skull Beneath The Skin are all songs that they haven't played in YEARS. Pretty sure this is the first tour they ever played Angry Again on, as well.

Even Dave Mustaine himself hates that album. Just saying.

Actually, I think it's safe to say that Megadeth will never play anything from Risk through United Abominations ever again.

Like I clearly stated. I'm not going to see Megadeth twice. So according to your logic, I have to choose between Rust In Peace and all of their other stuff. I think that's kind of silly.

That's like complaining about Dream Theater setlists in 2008 completely ignoring Images & Words, despite their world tour the year before they played that album in entirety for the 15th anniversary.

Yes, similar case. But I think it's sad, especially if you enjoy tracks from different albums. It's a good idea, of course, especially for those who like one album particularly. But for what we could call "casual fans" that's not such a good situation.

Besides - Go To Hell, Liar and Skull Beneath The Skin are all songs that they haven't played in YEARS. Pretty sure this is the first tour they ever played Angry Again on, as well.

I didn't complain about the setlist. I think it's all good. I would have liked having maybe Holy Wars... The Punishment Due or Rust In Peace... Polaris. Not the whole album.

Even Dave Mustaine himself hates that album. Just saying.

The album isn't great as a whole. But I think Kick The Chair is one of their best. Blackmail The Universe and Back In The Days are also quite memorable. The political aspect of the album is also very well developped. Not that their other albums aren't political. Rust In Peace and Peace Sells were both great in terms of political content, but they were released in the 80's and 90's. I'm not claiming there was no political content on their other most recent material. In fact there is. It's the specific it is done on The System Has Failed that I love. On Kick The Chair, Megadeth does a great critic of the judicial system, not only of the United States, but of the approach of the UN in international justice. Same thing goes for Blackmail The Universe and also Thruth Be Told... and more.

The whole album isn't that great. But saying it sucks dicks... kind of a stretch, imo.

Actually, I think it's safe to say that Megadeth will never play anything from Risk through United Abominations ever again.

Well... Risk... United Abominations... they are both kind of shitty...

But The World Needs A Hero and The System Has Failed both have redeeming elements. They shouldn't just throw it all to the garbage. Especially for TSHF. Kick The Chair is one of their bests of all time :)

That, too.

fuck that. It only sucks in comparison to their best stuff. It's still an awesome album.

It's not a matter of whether of making the fans pick and choose.

It's much simpler and less douchebaggish than that: "We are sick of playing Rust In Peace. We're taking a break for a tour."

That's what the band's saying.

Besides, the three RIP tours aside, pretty sure before this tour Megadeth has probably played Holy Wars and Hangar 18 every show they've ever played since 1990. Those songs specifically need to take a break, both so the band doesn't totally hate them and so the die-hard fans who see Megadeth twice a year don't get sick of them.

I honestly forgot about Blackmail The Universe and Back In The Day. You're right, those are both sick songs. And "When" is also a great song, but that's off World Needs A Hero.
