Also, is it me or do Power Metal bands feel the same? Like Dragonland and Epica.
If Dragonland and Epica feel the same to you, then you should go die a slow painful death.
Epica is hugely influenced by 90's death metal and it reflects GREATLY in their music, hell Mark Jansen(Their male vocalist, one of their guitarists and pretty much their main song writer) has another band called MaYan which is just death metal. Sure Epica have epic lyrics and keyboards/orchestra, but so what? So does Dimmu Borgir. Epica is NOT power metal. Mark Jansen even goes as far as to say that Kamelot is pretty much the only power metal band that influences them in any way, shape or form.
Dragonland is symphonic and epic, but in completely different ways. Epica's epic keyboards/orchestra isn't based on being epic, it's all intentional for the music to portray sorrow and emotion and is generally way more well-constructed. Dragonland is more epic for the sake of being epic. As for the guitars/bass/drums and the vocals and the lyrics, they're clearly more power metal.
At the end of the day, if Dragonland and Epica sound the same to you, then chances are you should kill yourself because ABBA and Opeth probably sound the same to you as well.

That album is damn good. Something that would make Rhapsody ashamed and that's why they should be ashamed of themselves.
And here I was thinking, "That album is a fucking joke. It's bad and they should feel bad."

Lich King
Hypocrisy
Onslaught
All great bands. I'm good friends with the singer of Lich King, they're from my state and still pretty local - even if they've kind of virally exploded amongst thrashers and punks.
