Like its not because I like metalcore more its just even if u say metalcore isnt metal u could admit they look a lot like metal fans ... Im just asking you if your saying metalcore isnt metal because of the style (the way they look like) or just because of the music ??
Not really the way they look. The music in itself is completely different. Not all core is like that though. Some bands like Glass Casket or Between The Buried And Me have well enough metal elements for me to classify them as metal. Glass Casket is one of these Deathcore bands to actually use Death Metal riffing, song structures, etc. My favorite example of un-metal deathcore... is Waking The Cadaver. This shitty band is a parasite. It tries to emulate death metal elements and hardcore elements but flat out fails and end up chugging, pig squealing and using breakdowns all the time. The only thing in their music that is metal is the drumming.
And if Metalcore isnt metal where do you put them ??? In hardcore or what ??? No if you say so you really dont know hardcore........
Metalcore is most of the time, a mix of different genres. Yes, it is influenced by metal, but the core of the music just doesn't fit the metal genre. I'm really having an hard time explainning this, but to me... metalcore is to metal what dubstep is to electro (or at least 2011 dubstep). It tries to emulate the genre, but it breaks it to the most simplistic and mediocre structures you can find in music. One of my favorite examples of this, is Unearth. A band that is very reputed in the metalcore scene. But damn, even with the Thrash Metal influences, they still find a way to be as predictable as Britney Spears... and they feel the need to throw in some chugging riffs in every single of their tracks so the kiddos who can't appreciate real riffs can swing their fists around while pretending to be listenning to music.
I dont mind thats why metalheads frustrate me in the first place (im a metalhead too u know) They just can't accept and listen to bands that here just different or a little mainstream( but that i can understand)
I'm a member of the Nu-Metal/Metalcore Crew you know... I was just pointing out the fact that this isn't the best place to discuss metalcore. Even if some metalcore is metal enough for me.
I dont mind what ur saying but im my mind metalcore will always be metal and its like the genre im proudest of showing and listening and hearing and all the shit....... (They just look way better then power metal gay beside death metal too long hair and black metal faggot with long sleeves that look like nerdz) Sorry that just my thought...
Funny how you try to create stereotypes for different metal genres. Especially considering how core kids are easily the most grotesque music fans I know. There are three brands of core-kids. The August Burns Red stereotypical fan is a douchebag who spends 60% of his time in the gym, 10% at the tanning room, 15% in the clubs listenning to generic commercial house music and 15% listenning to their "metal" music even though they don't know shit about bands like Death, Cynic, Augury, Obscura, Atheist, Insomnium, Symphony X, High On Fire or Electric Wizard. These guys, they listen to the "hardcore" bands. Bands like August Burns Red, The Devil Wears Prada, Hatebreed, Despised Icon and the likes. They also wear ear-stretchs.
Second brand of core-kids... The emo ones. The ones with the fringes, skinny pants, dyed hair, make-up, painted black fingernails and their The Nightmare Before Christmas accessories. These kids listen to Bless The Fall, Bring Me The Horizon, Suicide Silence, Black Veil Brides and the likes. These kids wear strecths sometimes two.
The last brand... might be the worst. The scene kids. These are like emo kids... but way worst. If they used half the time they spend dressing up, putting make-up on or getting fancy haircuts... trying to find some more music to listen to, I guess they would have developped some kind of taste for quality music. Fashion victims at their best.
And you're saying metalheads are stereotypical ? I went to a Cynic gig the other night. We had different lenght of hair. Some people weaing band t-shirts, some with normal clothing... and no "all black" clothing. The crowd consisted mostly of men, but there was a lot more of girls then there usually is at metal gigs, and they were not gothic stereotypes like Disturbed fans.
But still I dont understand your point , Like with you Disturbed , Rob Zombie , all the kind of shit like that isnt metal ... GET A LIFE... If u say isnt metal in what you class it ? In rock ? In hard rock???
Going apeshit again? Yeah, Disturbed are Nu-Metal. Cool band actually. I like them, but they are far closer to Hard Rock then they are to Metal. I say they are more melodic than you're typical Modern Hard Rock band and they sometime use some Melodic Metal leads, bu the rhythm and drumming is more influenced by Hard Rock than it is influenced by metal. And I really don't like Rob Zombie. To the point that I can't even answer your question. I've heard a few songs, years ago and never wanted to hear anything he did again.
GET A FUCKING LIFE ITS JUST METAL WITH OTHER SHIT
I'm really confused. You started your post saying you were sorry, and now you are going apeshit on me again. Well... not just on me, in fact. Because most of the guys in here also suggested that you calm down, accept that we don't discuss metal in here and recommanded you join the Nu-Metal/Metalcore Crew if you are deeply into the genre and that you really feel the urge to discuss it.
If you want to argue that Metalcore is Metal, that's fine. I tend to agree that some metalcore bands have well enough metal elements to be considered metal and I never would like people to stop asking questions and question the "said facts". But no insults please...
Your just whining because theyre mainstream and the band that ur listening are not...
Bold assumption. I can't give a fuck about what is popular and what isn't. I do give a fuck when shitty bands only play to be mainstream. That is a true a problem. If you get popular while remaining true to yourself, that's fine. Bands who did? Megadeth, Black Sabbath, Death, Sonata Arctica, Mastodon. NAME THEM, there are countless bands who had a commercial succes while remaining true to themselves. What I hate is shitty bands like Black Veil Brides. Stupid pricks, they dress-up like all the core-kids, they use auto-tunes, they chug all the time and they follow the post-hardcore/metalcore so well... they could be used as the archetype of the genre. They are the definition of generic. They tried soooo fucking hard to be just like every other popular band... they actually succeeded. In fact, they are so much like every other band, that they make the other generic bands look original.
If I want to do something with metal its kill anybody that build the walls , and regroup everyone
Yeah well, get on the other side of the wall. I've tried countless times to introduce core-kids to metal. And they simply can't If you don't give them clean vocals chorus, simple Chorus-Verse-Chorus-Verse structures or if you don't give them simple 4/4 time signatures, they get all confused and they reject the music. See, I've listenned to more of their music than they will ever listen to mine. You can't accuse me of being close-minded. Core-kids are close-minded.
