Boah guys...I just came home from the rehearsal with our new drummer. This guy kicks ass. He's able to play Kataklysm songs faster than they actually are and his fills and rolls are mindblowing. Coffinfeeder is making great progress right now :D
So, I was just looking on Behemoth's website and apparently they'll be supporting Morbid Angel on their North American tour in April of '06. There are only a few dates announced so far, so I don't know if they'll be coming to BC yet, but I hope they are. I missed Behemoth when they came through in November : (

Yes. But unlike ItWLtW, the songs are more connected and epochal, so it's more like one giant song broken up into four parts, even though there are breaks between songs, they still flow smoothly.
The intro and the outro are gonna be relatively short (5 min. and around 4 min.) and the two songs in between are gonna be long as fuck. As far as i can tell, The Covenant of Blood and Steel is gonna be around 27-30 min. long. I dunno how long Reality in Science and Pain is gonna be, but it's gonna be probably the darkest song on the album. It's gonna feature a lot of clean guitar and spoken vocals, and the guitars are gonna be dissonant and very creepy. The drums aren't gonna be fast, but rather a slower, more deliberate beat. There will be extensive use of baritone guitars, but there are still good guitar lines, like in part of Covenant of Blood and steel where I'm doing this series of arppegios. Either way, it's got something for everybody!

Dimmu Borgir IS metal, but they aren't black metal. They were, but they changed their sound around '97.
Slipknot isn't metal because they are heavy rock. Otherwise known as mallcore.

I got Virus, and its awesome, except for one thing - about halfway through the cd it gets skippy, like when you burn a bad cd and you get static in the song...This one is BRAND NEW though, and I got it at Best Buy...Did anyone else have that problem, or is it intentional? BTW, guys, what's your favourite Immortal album? Because I think not too many people here will share my opinion, because my favourite is actually "Damned in Black". It just does the most for me, the best riffage, great solos and just the overall catchiness of the album is great.

I never thought their work was outstanding. Under A Funeral Moon was *good* black metal, but other than that, it's mostly unoriginal. On Ravishing Grimness and Plaguewielder they made a few good songs, but they rest suck.
