Especially that kind of playground. Especially considering there is not real limit to the speed this kind of thing can reach.
I really was talking of the whole thing though. The background, the trees, the colors, the fog, the playground...
I don't really know their work... but that kind of cover could easily fit Ambient, Atmospheric Metal (stuff like Agalloch) or Neofolk, Post-Rock and pretty much any kind of music with a strong focus on the ambiences.

Yup. Cool how you can nail the sound from the album cover.

Can't say that it's always that easy. But my girlfriend and I have also came to the conclusion that an album with a skull or a skeleton will most likely be a deathcore or a metalcore album. Proof:

Yeah, I always thought there was a strong thrash feel to Sepultura. Maybe pre-Beneath the Remains shows the rawer style of the band that I still need to check out.

It's because it's their most bland and generic album.
As we've learned from every metal band that turned from great to mediocre, the mediocre stuff is always more popular.

Yes, but 70 tons didn't have either of those bands. ;D

Yeah, Beneath The Remains is the closest they had to thrash. Their first two albums + Bestial Devastation are way rawer, check out "Troops Of Doom."

Yeah but 70000 Tons had tons of big metal bands. I would have done so much just to go a metal cruise festival and even be along with all those musicians. Not that I'm complaining about the shows I'm going to see but 70000 Tons is a much bigger event than everything I've attended put together.

And I mostly considered Beneath the Remains when I mentioned Sepultura. I find Arise to be thrashy as well but I suppose the earlier stuff is truly death metal.

True. I'm hoping to go next year as well, especially considering I currently don't have the funds to go to Maryland Deathfest or Progpower USA.

Arise has it's thrashier moments, but it's definitely death metal.
In fact, Arise is probably one of my all tiem favorite death metal albums right up there with Individual Thought Patterns

Individual Thought Patterns is a very interesting choice. I find myself enjoying that album more and more as I listen to it again and again. There's so many riffs to hear in one album that it gives the listener enough to remember.

I listened to Blackwater Park the other day and can't say that I liked it a whole lot. I'm not saying it is bad, as I can appreciate Opeth's talent, but it just wasn't something that I could really get into.

Orchid
Morning Rise
My Arms, Your Hearse
Still Life
Blackwater Park
Deliverance
Damnation
Ghost Reveries
Watershed

I love them, and I know that the ads were a major part to the theme of the album. However, how they are handled disrupt the flow of the album and distract me. As always, reviews are very subjective, so, I personally, found that disrupting the flow of songs distract me. And detracts from the overall cohesiveness of the album.

Yeah, I'm still working on it. I just saw that Think This had no review, so I decided to do a quick one. My rate of posting reviews will also be slowed because my PC is very iffy at the moment, so I don't have access to word processing as often.
Also, I found this old school death metal band, Mortification. I suggest checking them out. So far I'm really liking them, especailly Scrolls of the Megiloth.

I want to get a new pair of ear muff type headphones. I used to have a pair, but they broke somehow. It's probably from sleeping with them on, but then, I'd totally do that with a new pair. I still have my super cheap $5.00 headphones that rest in your ear, and my nicer (dunno the price) headphones that suck into your ear. You know the kind? They like, stick inside your ear instead of resting softly in your ear. sound quality is great, and cancels out outside noise pretty well, but it's kinda uncomfortable at first. After a while, you kinda forget, though. I prefer hearing my music through good speakers, though. I have a pretty good set of speakers with a subwoofer, but the subwoofer could be more powerful. I like lying on my bed and laying the speakers on either side of my head, with the subwoofer balancing above my head on the headboard. I think I might save up for a really good, floor shaking set. play some Ufomammut on that shit. WWWWWAAAAAAAAAAH.

The word "pedophile" describes the sexual interest in children who haven't reached puberty yet, so Dave Holland is NOT a pedophile.
