I believe you were happy when Paul Gray died aswell. That's just so immature.

Bleach is a damn great album btw. I used to love Nirvana, there's been a while since I last heard one of their albums.

I meant Incesticide is a damn great album, Bleach is good too, but I prefer Incesticide.

Sorry for double post.

I love Ulver. What do you think of their later, non-metal stuff like Perdition City and Blood Inside?

I didn't give Perdition City a good listen, I'll go and try it later; but from what I remember, I didn't really like it. Blood Inside? Never listened to it...

So I got a bunch of new stuff. I got Kamelot's first two albums, which I haven't been able to listen to yet. But I also got Honour Amongst Chaos by Waylander and Infinity by Stratovarius, both of which are pretty good.

I love all 3 of those. a Quick Fix of Melancholy, too. Though they weren't the best, the Lykanthropen and Svidd Neger soundtracks had nice tracks, too. Speaking of which, Ulver has a new album coming out soon!

Since you guys are talking about Ulver, I'll just share my opinion on their records two :)

I really like the three first albums, Bergtatt, Nattens Madrigal and Kveldssanger. And when it comes to their most recent work, I really like Svidd Neger and Perdition City.

Thank fuck. Unless it's exactly like Shadows of the Sun, in which case I'll be pretty sad. But it shouldn't be.

I want to drop acid and listen to William Blake's. That would be intense.

Yeah, I hope it's more like either Perdition City or Blood Inside.

William Blake's is alright. It's not that memorable and it gets boring at parts. One of my favorite tracks is the second intro (track 2 on the second disc).

Also, dude, have you listened to this yet?

Yes I did, but it didn't do it for me through the first listen. I will give it another listen, though.

I dunno if you'll appreciate it on a second listen, then. For me, I was blown away on the first listen. the beautiful chaos of the whole thing. such a great mixture of so many sounds. And listening to it stoned?

Not sure which Iced Earth albums you've listened to but I easily put Something Wicked parts 1 and 2 at the bottom. Yeah, even below The Glorious Burden. From Iced Earth, I still need the self-titled album, The Dark Saga and Horror Show. I've already listened to most of the songs from the self-titled album considering all except a song or two was re-recorded on Days of Purgatory.

The new Ulver album is like Perdition City and Shadows of the Sun crashed together at a million miles an hour and morphed into one audible mass.

Iced Earth's self titled = the best.

Disagree. While good, I think Burnt Offerings and Night of the Stormrider are the two best. Horror Show is pretty awesome, and so is Glorious Burden (yeah, the one with Tim Owens).

So this guy came in to my place of employment yesterday wearing a Cephalic Carnage T-shirt. Got to bullshit with him about some death metal, which was a nice break from the usual grind of nobody knowing what the fuck they want to order when it's their turn.
Also, I got Omnivium finally. It's pretty sick I guess but I must have over-hyped myself on it because so far there aren't really any tracks on it that get me hook line and sinker except for Septuagint. I have a feeling it will grow on me though, much the same way that Psycroptic's (Ob)Servant and Benighted's Icon did.

That's all for now, folks. Keep it real.

I've listenned to the three first tracks today. It sounds pretty good to me :) Will listen to the whole thing tonight.

Picture Shadows of the Sun with the tempo and Garminess of Perdition City. Garm gives a better vocal performance than in Shadows of the Sun and there aren't as many slow songs. There's also a lot more of a focus on drums. You'll notice that off the bat. It still has some really quiet ambient songs but the album has a much higher tempo. I wouldn't say it's Perdition City good, but it does have a lot of elements from that album and it is a lot better than Shadows. And I really liked Shadows.

Hmm. This looks like a nice club/crew. I always preferred the high pitched heavy metal bands like Judas Priest before Rob Halford left and Dio, the kind of people who make the dumbest things seem like epic tales.

Although I enjoy bands like Bullet for my Valentine as well. Is there a club sig?

Oh yeah, Bruce. You wanted my thoughts on Portal's Outre and Exhumed a while back, right? Well, here they are. (If I missed anything, let me know.)

I listened to Exhumed a while back. I love early Carcass, and will always have a soft spot for Carcass worship, so I was expecting to enjoy them a lot with my relistening, which I did. I listened to Gore Metal. Great album. Worshipping Carcass while putting your own spin on the ol' formula is always a plus in my book. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5.

Listened to Outre today. Meh. Showed promise, but it pretty much failed at delivering on said promise. I liked how dark the album was and all that shit, but to be honest, it kind of bored me. Fuck. Tried reading some creepypasta while listening to it. Better off reading while listening to Hérésie or Les Morts Vont Vite. Anyway, despite my complaints. I liked it. Somewhat. I'd give it a 3 out of 5.

Well, the birthday present winner this year was certainly worth it - I've not got the Flight 666 DVD and CD to go alongside the T-Shirt from that tour. Now to get me a tour shirt from the Final Frontier in July and I'll be a very happy man :D

Oh man, I've just checked the website and I'd love to be at the Oslo or Helsinki gigs, as their setup act is Alice Cooper! Sorry for compounding your misery, Bahamut
