Anyone here heard of the Japanese death metal band Vortex? They're severely underrated and I love them.
Never heard of them.
Song recommendations and their style?

Picked up a flyer for the Lazarus A.D show here in Norwich soon, can't fuckin wait, I'm just gonna get really fuckin drunk and mosh hard, my first thrash band live y'see.
I hate most 00's thrash metal, but these guys are really sick. Also, it really sucks what happened to them. :(
Acid Bath - Dr. Seuss Is Dead
Acid Bath are basically one of my favorite bands of all time.
Goatwhore, while great, needs to disband and Acid Bath needs to reform because they're so much greater.

Hey guys, long time no see. Listening to Soilworker's Song Of The Damned reminded me of this place. :)
Haha soilwork, I used to love them and In Flames back in like 2007/2008 when I was first getting into harsh vocals metal.
I'm seeing them for the third time, opening for Symphony X and Nevermore next month. Weird lineup, it'll be interesting seeing them as an opener instead of a headliner for once - and for bands of totally different styles to boot.

I believe it was Duff who mentioned Falkenbach here and I'd like to thank him for bringing it up to me. I listened to Heralding - The Fireblade and it's a great album.
It wasn't duff who brought them up, it was someone else who said that they and primordial are the only good folk metal bands. I don't remember who said that though.
Both bands are tits though hahaha

Death has great riffs. Leprosy is my favorite Death album by far. Pull The Plug was usually their encore song and has an awesome riff.
Individual Thought Patterns is my personal favorite Death album, I love them all!
Also speaking of pull the plug, a new really good technical death metal band Revocation is known for doing a really good cover of that song live - so catch them sometime whenever they're on tour.
Check them out, hoes!
