But more importantly than that, is barren earth is opening. Barren Earth features the vocalist of Swallow The Sun, the lead guitarist of Kreator, two of the members of Moonsorrow and two of the members of Amorphis - so as you can imagine, barren earth are pretty epic. I definitely recommend them to any fans of melodic death metal, death-doom or Opeth. (And if you don't know any of those four bands BE contains the members of, then you don't belong in this club)

Personally I hate both Amon Amarth and Belphegor. I like Deicide, but when I saw them a few years ago they were WASTED out of their minds and totally butchered their entire setlist.

It's not the distance that's an issue, it's the fact that I'm not familiar with Birmingham. I've never been there before. I've been to London many times over the last 4 years and would be more comfortable with attending a show there than Birmingham.

Their early stuff is melodic death metal, like I consider them the first melodic death metal band. But they definitely had a swallow the sun-esque feel as well.
Nowadays, they're closer to progressive rock IMO but it's still amazing.
Honestly, just browse a few of their songs on youtube and whichever style you like better check out an album from that time period. hahaha

It depends on the moderators' mood. It could take a few hours or even take a week just for them to get to your review. The problem with them is how they handle reviews "in a chaotic order". They don't always go with the oldest reviews to check, they just do whatever they feel like. It's rather stupid since you could have the slightest grammar mistake in your review and a week later they reject the review. It's reasons like this why it can be a pain in the ass to get a review posted on MA.
