Before I forget, I'd like to say thanks again for bringing up the Renaissance band last week, Dalnaki.

I recently read back at these posts and I find it funny how you said you wouldn't bother with the Big Four if there was no Joey Belladonna or David Ellefson. Look what happened to them two last year. :P

Nice man, glad you're basically getting your money back, and Amon Amarth are epic live, can't wait to see them again in April :D

Current metal band being played from my Spotify player: Exodus.

I'm playing through their Impact is Imminent album. I really like their sound. Again, it's another old thrash metal band that I've heard very little of. How have I managed to ignore such awesome bands all my life?

Yeah, I started listening to them because I thought death + doom = paradox, but now I know over 9000 doom/death bands. Anyway there has been while since I heard their album I have, thank you for remember me.

They did though. At least one of the shows. Either wayl, you have the chance to see them in America this year.

So... I listened to the 6 way He's No Good to Me Dead sludge split today. Only band that left a real impression was Negative Reaction. Sourvein was pretty good, too. But eh, liked most of what I heard. I recommend you guys check it out, too. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5.

Death/doom is some of the greatest shit you'll ever hear. Well, 90s death/doom. Most modern "death/doom" and I use that term loosely and with lots of sarcasm, is basically Gothenburg style melodeath played really slowly.

No problem. One day I'll get around to uploading the second song.

I came across Cathedral's Forest of Equilibrium (+Soul Sacrifice) and The Garden of Unearthly Delights today in HMV and had to pick them up to use my £5 voucher before Monday. The Garden of Unearthly Delights was only £6 so with the £5 voucher, I pretty much only spent £1.

It's a shame their shows in US and UK are the odd few. They're only showing up in Sonisphere and Judas Priest takes priority this year.

Like Waking the Cadaver.

I'd give them something like -20% if it was possible. Giving them 0 is like giving them 20 extra points.

I must be unlucky to have heard about Waking the Cadaver now. I could have not known about them for the rest of my life but now you guys bring them up.

Do I dare to listen to them?

Autopsy is recording their new album. Shit's gonna rule, I just know it. They're not gonna suck like most DM bands reforming to make a quick buck do.

These "interpreted" lyrics sound more accurate than the actual lyrics.

Cathedral = Rifftastic. That I like as well as their 27 minute song The Garden. I might pick up The Ethereal Mirror next time I go to HMV considering I can get £10 off for anything at their store with my reward card.

You guys are to blame for bringing them up. If you say they're so bad it's horrible, it only makes those such as myself curious.

So, did you listen to any of their stuff ?

Btw, I've seen the word Cathedral somewhere in your post, and that made me think about something. Did you guys know that the album Dømkirke by Sunn O))), which is a live album, was recorded in a Cathedral? I think that's awesome! And even though I'm not a big fan of live albums, I might actually go and check that out!

So now that I am an audio artist I was thinking of making a joke core song. Open chugged power chords with cluster chord breakdowns all on classical guitar with Nasally/whiny vocals about how my life sucks.

What do you think?

I just got back from seeing Evile, shit was FUCKING EPIC. Mutant were awesome, Bleeding Oath were hilarious, Elimination were boring cheesy crap and Evile fucking ruled.

Evile's setlist:
First Blood
Enter the Grave
Plague to End All Plagues
Metamorphosis
Thrasher
new song with the working title "Bitch"
We Who Are About To Die
My Parasite
Infected Nations
Killer From The Deep

Also found out they're recording their new album around April and it should be out around June, and the title has the initials FST. I also caught one of Ol's picks and got a serious handshake from Matt when I told him I was the one who bought him that Mastodon hoodie. Twas a good Sunday.

My mate won 4 tickets to Hammerfest, and he's taking me.

FUCK YES.

My first festival :D

Gonna see Sylosis (so good live), Turisas, Bleed From Within (also good live), Blitzkrieg, Biohazard, Satyricon, Sabaton, Evile (they were fun when i saw them), Onslaught and Gamma Bomb.

There's a whole bunch of other bands playing and more to be announced apparently, but those are the ones I want to see.

I'm 18 tommorrow so it'll be made even more awesome by the fact that I can legally drink there, drunk moshing is pretty awsome.

Don't suppose anyone from the Hell is going too?
