UFO's Phenomenon and Accept's Restless and Wild. Which should I do first? I'm getting another day off of school because of snow, so I'll have some time to kill.

I haven't listened to Phenomenon so I wish to hear your thoughts on the album in detail.

I just got Dream Theater's album Systematic Chaos, and it's absolutely amazing.

Nothing like listening to Carpathian Forest Cold Murderous Music.
Why don't you kill yourself
Slit, your wrists
Slit the right one
now the left.
As a symbol for our end.
Hang yourself in the stairs.
Throw yourself in front of
a eighteen wheel semi truck.
Try to stick your pencil, up your nose
and smashing it into a table
Take a shotgun
the barrel up against your brains
your head usually gets fucked anyway
People. Don't Care.
This is how life goes.
Take a heroin overdose
your death is your extacsy
and it beats lusting for me.
Why don't you kill yourself
Slit, your wrists.
Hang yourself in the stairs.
Throw yourself in front of
a eighteen wheel semi truck.
Try to stick your pencils, up your nose
and smashing it into a table
Take a shotgun
and blow out your brains
your head usually gets fucked anyway
People. Don't. Care.
This is, how life goes.
Take a heroin overdose.

I find it to be a good album. Some tracks are highly flawed such as Constant Motion and Prophets of War but I can still enjoy the album regardless. The only Dream Theater album I can't get into is Falling Into Infinity. I always try and give it a chance but it never clicks on for me.

I'll have to try this album, then. I mostly listen to them because of the amazing shrednacity of John Petrucci, though.

I did recommend Black Clouds & Silver Linings to you a while ago but Nev and Ponos hugely opposed it. I believe both of them recommended Systematic Chaos, however. I'd say get both of them.

Yeah, I knew there were a few recommendations, but I was afraid to seem like a newb asking again. I'll get that one as well and tell you guys what I think. Octavarium looks cool too, though.

Speaking of Dream Theater I just finished listening to Metropolis Pt. 2 for the second time. I knew that it was a concept album, but I didn't really get into the whole story until my second listen.

I enjoyed the album a lot.

I enjoy concept albums a lot. Many Opeth albums are concept albums, and Porcupine Tree's releases are concept albums as well. The Wall is one of my favorite concept albums.

concept albums, eh? how 'bout Operation Mindcrime?

cool stuff, Idio. I like it.

I do enjoy good metal, some of my favorite songs are "The Walk" (Periphery); "Liar" (Korn); "laser cannon death sentence" (Dethklok lol); "Guilty" (since October); "The Chosen Ones" (Dream Evil) mind you though some of this is Nu Metal, anyway this seems like a pretty tight club :D. If anyone knows any good new metal bands let me know cause it's been awhile since I heard some new metal.

Doing some work for University, I realised how much Thomas Hobbes is Black Metal.

Octavarium is hit and miss. While you have awesome tracks such as the title track and The Root of All Evil, you also have subpar tracks like I Walk Beside You and The Answer Lies Within.

I may not listen to Behemoth but I feel very sorry for Nergal. He's already back in hospital after getting out recently and before his illness, he was in a legal battle over a bible he destroyed at one show. I really hope he gets better soon.

I can't believe this. How can you get a lawsuit on your ass for destroying a Bible? Isn't there something like "a right to do whatever you want with stuff you own" ??

Yeah, it was Poland where he destroyed the bible. If he did it in America, he wouldn't have had a legal issue over it, unless someone in that country went insane over it.

I don't think you're right. Or maybe I'm just confused. Was is Gorgoroth or Behemoth who got banned from Poland because they impaled a sheep's head on-stage?

A quick search told me it was Gorogorth who got banned from Poland for that act.

I'll be honest with you guys... I've never listened to Gorgoroth before.

Poland is the ghetto.

Also, if you're going to listen to Gorgoroth listen to stuff with Pest. Not ghagalhl since he's awful compared to Pest.

In one of my classes, we've learned why the people from Poland all turned to the Christian religion somewhere around the 2nd World War. Their country got splitted between Germany, USSR and Austria-Hungary. There was no Polish government anymore and the only thing that could help the people from Poland to stay strong together was Christianity.

I wouldn't call it bad. It's a bit generic in my eyes but it still is a decent album worth checking out for fans.
