I think that you think that I didn't understand that you were saying you didn't know if I was being sarcastic about the quality of their music.. But I knew it. But I still made a mistake. They play Punk Rock.

Anyway. Did you guys know that their cover was made by one of the members of Baroness?

New song, very sludgy but pretty fucking catchy if I may add. I dunno, I've been experimenting with playing a very heavy, mid-paced version of sludge with a huge emphasis on catchy melodies and such (not to the point where it's like Torche or anything), but with catchy sing along choruses, but with a huge wall of sound feel to it.

Here I am, bored with everything.

It's pretty easy to tell. He doesn't do art for Baroness only.

Sorry for double post, but I missed this. Anyway. Not sludgy enough. You shouldn't sacrifice sludgyness for catchyness. Also. What's with the acoustic intro? Seems out of place.

So far so good. Hopefully I'll hear another song before the album comes out just so I'll be confident with getting it.

Heard it for the first time last night and I came. I didn't think they had many more epic songs left in them, but I was wronggg, gonna be a good album methinks.

They're also playing in Bonecrusher fest this month in London, but the rest of the lineup is shit haha, so glad I went last year, was a brilliant lineup.

Holy shit Ted Maul, well there's a name I haven't heard since high school, my friend got their album and would not shut up about 200db's down, I love Forest... though.

You're right about the clean intro thing, but otherwise, I'm not trying to go for a traditional NOLA sludge thing. As much as I love it, there's no need for me to conform and pump out the same shit as everyone else, which sadly, happens quite often in sludge.

Death's last album, The Sound of Preseverance is being rereleased and remastered in 14 days. It will come with 2 extra disks of demos and instrumentals. It will also come with a new redrawn cover (of which doesn't look as cool as the original, but at least I can tell what the fuck it is).

Even though I'm a little iffy about remasters, I am a huge demowhore, so there is no doubt I will be buying this.

You can view the 1997 demo track of the track Story to Tell here.

I'll be seeing Judas Priest live this June. Unfortunately I don't have any friends who like metal, so I'll be going by myself...

Don´t be sad. At least you´ll watch the show.

It's not about the destination.

It's about the journey.

Yeah dude. I'm jealous. If I was your friend I'd go with. Unless I hated the band, I'd go to a concert. I need to go to one soon, it's been years.

I'm probably the only one who prefers the new album cover over the old one. I had very little idea on what the old album cover was meant to be. The new one is much clearer.

I sometimes get remasters of albums I already have. However, for Death's The Sound of Perseverance, I don't think it's necessary. I wanted the first two Blind Guardian albums remastered as well as Judas Priest's Screaming for Vengeance. The sound production for newer releases of them have a different feeling than the original mastering. That reminds me, I still need British Steel and Ram It Down remastered.

Yeah, I thought that when I first saw it, he has an unique style.

Also you said they're a mix of black metal with punk rock, but I have do disagree, in my opinion it's a mix of Sludge Metal, Black Metal and Rock N' Roll, or maybe stoner rock. Anyway, there are still some hardcore punk influences imo.

Why the shit is it when I talk about Kvelertak after seeing them live and giving a good description, a link and recommending them to everyone, I get fucking ignored and then some other prick brings them up and you all have a page long discussion. Seriosuly fuck all of you. Yes I am fucking mad.

In other news in my never ending effort to piss people off, I just bough a ticket to Bonecrusher Fest which is Carnifex, Dying Fetus, Annotations of an Autopsy, Keep of Kalessin, Fleshgod Apocalypse and Angelus Apatrida , just so I can see Fleshgod Apocalypse before Willy (JaY11) does.

Annotations of an Autopsy have a song called Fisted To The Point of Regurgitation. Enjoy that shit, Patrick.

I don't really like that idea... Remastering albums is almost always useless...

So, as you guys all likely know, I've been writing album reviews lately. The site I post at doesn't have reviews for 2 albums I'm interested in reviewing. UFO's Phenomenon and Accept's Restless and Wild. Which should I do first? I'm getting another day off of school because of snow, so I'll have some time to kill.
