and i started out with Mallcore, stayed with it for far too long and got into Melo-Death and into about everything else after that, except most Power Metal.

Listing all sorts of underground stuff sounds like showing off. He should first start with known stuff like Emperor, Marduk, Dark funeral etc and then get to stuff like War88 or Behexen or Hate Forest!!!

awwww... You can find Mystic Forest on www.amazon.com :). Oh, and IAMCANADIAN should check out Stormnatt too. All the bands I listed had relatively good production, and were melodic. I don't know about Setsuna, but they weren't really kvlt, just underground.
