GORGOROTH's Backstage Rider Revealed: Pink Toilet Paper, Masseuse & Strawberry-Flavored Condoms - Nov. 14, 2005

Norwegian black metallers GORGOROTH may be the epitome of pure evil when they hit the stage, but if their tour rider is any indication, they are softies at heart. GORGOROTH's rider for their current European tour with 1349 — which includes specifications on stage design, sound systems, lighting rigs, as well as an artist's wish list (from transportation and billing to dressing room accommodations and meals) — features a request for such items as "extra-soft" pink toilet paper, "condoms with strawberry taste" and a "masseuse" for the band every three days of the tour.

The following are a couple of excerpts from GORGOROTH's backstage rider for their current European tour (as obtained by BLABBERMOUTH.NET):

Catering specification:

On Arrival:

* enough assorted cheese, ham and salami sandwiches for twelve persons
* tea and coffee with milk & sugar
* one crate of assorted sodas

In The Dressing Room:

* coffee and tea
* 3 bottles of Jack Daniels, 70cl
* 1 bottle of Kahlua, 70cl
* 1 bottle of vodka, Finlandia preferably, 70cl
* 1 ltr gin, Bombay Sapphire preferably
* 2 bottles of Amarone red wine
* 2 litres of high fat content milk
* 70 domestic beers (min. 4,5%, max. 5%), 33cl
* 24 bottles of sparkling and non-sparkling water, 50cl
* 12 bottles/cans of energy drinks (Red Bull or Dark Dog)
* 4 packs of cigarettes (Marlboro Red/Lucky Strike), sigarillos and sigares.
* 24 bottles/cans assorted sodas, thereamongst Coke and Sprite, 33cl
* lots of fresh vegetables and fruits
* large plastic cups
* ice cubes
* snacks
* condoms with strawberry taste
* strawberries, champagne, pink toilet paper, extra soft.
* 25 clean large towels. White
* 5 blankets

Dinner:

The promoter is to pay and provide for a full dinner for five persons. No fast food or take-aways. The dinner is to be complemented by choice of beverages. Please note that there must be available 1 vegetarian for GORGOROTH and 1 vegetarian for one of the crew members.

Stage And Other Additional Specifications:

* 50 sheepheads
* 200 meters barbwire
* 1 carpenter with equipments to build racks for barbwire, barricades, crosses ect.
* 1 masseuse for the band every 3 days of the tour, this person needs to be there from arrival or during the afternoon.

Pink EXTRA SOFT toilet paper? Strawberry flavored condoms? Masseuse?!!

Also, as for the liquor, I wouldn't mind an assortment like that. As for the masseusse, if I didn't have a girlfriend, I wouldn't mind having a hot masseusse. One thing I would love, is some salvia for the trip. That's all, though.

I ordered a hoody off of the Trivium website a while ago and it came today. I decided to check out the website and apparently they'll be going out on tour again pretty much right after the Bodom/Amon Amarth tour is over. After taking a short break to work on their new album, Trivium will be opening for In Flames on their North American tour in January. I know a lot of you hate Trivium, but whatever.

On another note, I bought FUCK YOU! AND THEN SOME! today. Awesome album.

I am REALLY into BM NSBM,SBM, melodicBM, oldskoolBM and everything there is which is stil tr00 black metal. I am BM down to the core...
I am into some Death, bit of doom and even some gothic, but that's rather secondary. Some good old heavy rocks me too.

I am also into beer, bikes, sex, moshing, corpse paint (I am corpse painter of like 20 bands), I have a BM band and I songwrite and do filthy vocals (I fail to sound like a girl when I am in a metal rush). I also like the effect a girl has when she moshes in the middle of 762834 guys.... LOL... When of course they get over the 'not hitting a girl' crap, it gets more interesting ^_^

Some of my fav bands are 1349, nattefrost, kataxu, beherit, varathron, war88, marduk, enthroned, gloomy grim, hate forest, behemoth, anal vomit, pains vital (local one), catamenia, lord wind, rotting christ, hecate enthroned, astarte, samael and recently added behexen...

I just ordered Satyricon's Dark Medieval Times. I've heard a few songs from it already, and they are kickass, so this should be a great CD.

Its quite good, but satyricon is getting too commercial. It annoys me. If the fucking 14 year old gothmalls know them, it means something bad...

That's the problem with a huge number of bands nowadays... I could make a list but I'd be typing for 2 hours... :(

I know this is late but:

Old metalica was really, really good. Their songs up until St. Anger were decent, until I started liking hardcore; Then I hated everything except Ride the Lightning....Great CD.

Fucking hell, I knew the general Boards were gay but this is ridiculous...
As for Satyricon, I actually found myself liking their newer albums more than their old, but that's just my taste, I'm not really into that tape recorder quality crunchy BM stuff... I do own an original Krieg album by the way (pretty hard to find...), but I like that band mostly for the most fucked up and pissed of vocals ever :)

And about Metallica, they sold themselves like whores do, and that's reason enough for me to hate them. They were good musicians sometime ago, but now they are more of a brand that a band.

Metallica was IMO always overrated. Master of Puppets is the most overrated record in Metal to me. The only album by them that I kinda like is ..And Justice of All. Everything after it REALLY sucked the big one....

I love my town XD
