I'm with you on this one... But Cannibal Corpse is the Death Metal band that is the most well-known amongs non-metal fans. Because of all the controversy surrounding them because of their album covers, lyrical themes and band t-shirts, they get a lot of attention from the mainstream media. So usually, people who aren't into metal, will only be able to name one DM band when asked about this genre and that is CC.

In fact, I'm pretty sure a lot of people like to believe metal is all about that kind of bullshit. It's pretty damn cool to be judgemental, throwing opinions around on matters you don't know. I'm pretty sure that these people who like to complain on Metal, would be really dissapointed to learn that Metal is not all like CC. Just think about when that guy from Twisted Sisters faced some judges who were accusing him of some bullshit like being satanist or whatever. Every single time he prooved them wrong, they just came back with another stupid complaint. A lot of people need what we call a "bouc émissaire" in French. A scapegoat for all shit that his going wrong in our society. Just think about Marylin Manson and Colombine... or Megadeth and Dawson College (in Montreal). Metal is always a scapegot...

Then Idio asked to be replaced, it's all ok, but I remember Bill being kind of proud of his Horseman rank, even though he was not active at all. So if he comes back, what should we tell him? I really think that this place should be runned by those who are active and who can represent the Hell properly, so I think he should be replaced. But I'm asking you guys what you think about this.

Anyway... Sense, Nev, Bahamuth and I can really do the job. We are amongs the most active users here, and something like 7 or 8 members have showed their support to either Bahamuth or me to become an Horseman. So if everybody is ok with that, than I guess it's all fine with me. It would be appreciated if the members could express their thoughts on this and tell us if they approove the nomination of Bahamuth and I to the rank of Horseman.

Hopefully he understands the situation. It's best if we have an active horseman rather than an inactive horseman. Hell, with you, me, Nev and Sense-Offender as horsemen, new applicants will be responded to swiftly. I still declare Goatchrist as the true leader here who will pop in once in a while. He knew he wasn't active on the forums these days so he decided to let someone else take his horseman position.

Also, I started on my Remembrance Day tattoo today. I got all the shading done, since it has almost no outline. It's a dark poppy on my sternum with a graveyard with the rows of crosses as the background going up to the base of my neck and across my chest between where two other tattoos are. The poppy is a natural one and not one of the little pins, but it's darker since I don't want it to be a bright tattoo. I want it to be more somber. Gonna be nice. It'll fit in with my sleeves and calf sleeve when they're done.

I would like to congratulate Nev, Duff, and Bahamut for getting Horseman status.

Something pretty awkward and humorous happened to me today. I was sitting there in class and at 11am the school had a minute silence in memory of those who had died in war. At the time I had completely trailed off and forgot about it, and I was sitting there in a silent class room listening to Death - Empty Words very loud through my earphones. I turned around and saw the teacher, and everyone else staring at me, so I pulled out my earphones and realized they pretty much sounded like speakers, and everyone could here the glorious Death for a few seconds.

Saw Job For A Cowboy, Whitechapel, Annotations Of An Autopsy and Trigger The Bloodshed on Tuesday, was a pretty good gig, though obviously I've just committed a grave sin by mentioning deathcore bands.

I didn't expect to really enjoy it, as I haven't been to a gig for months and have been quite content just listening to albums, but Whitechapel were fucking brilliant live, AAoA and TtB were meh, JFaC were okay, not really into them.

I forgot how much fun gigs are, especially when the bands playing actually play well, and get 2 circle pits and a wall of death (Whitechapel). Owie.
