The position should really be saved for a more active member of the Metal Hell. That's why Idio is stepping down from horseman status. I guess this means we need three new horsemen.

So Sensey would be the only horseman remaining? Your suggestion is that Idio, Bill and Ghoul should be replaced?

Like Bahamuth said, Nev pretty much won all the "wannabe elections" we had. So Sensey, you should make him an officail horseman, I suppose.

So, if we have to get two new horseman, than who should we get? Like I said in my previous post, Denta, Ani, Bahamuth, Ponos and I would probably do pretty good. We are all kind of active (I lurk around the Metal Hell everyday and post very often. I guess it's pretty much the same for Denta and Bahamuth. Ponos is a little less active though. Ani is also quite active.)

So what do you guys say?

No. It's wannabe glam by a great extreme metal band and it sounds awful. I would never recommend checking it out.

Yeah, I'm not as active here as I was 2-3 years ago, sadly. One day that may change. I still listen to as much metal as I always have. I remember my name being bandied about in early 2008 as a potential horseman but that was a long time ago. Also, I strongly agree that the list of current horsemen is pretty god damn obsolete, and what's scarier is that I'm older than each and every one of them (having been here since January 12, 2005).

I'm just dropping in to officially take my name out of the running for any sort of potential horseman position. as much as i'd love to have that honor, i'm really busy doing school things (i.e. getting high all the time and hanging out with my friends and going to class and doing work) and i'd just end up inactive and ineffective as a leader.

Nev is horseman. Y'all can vote for who should replace Idio. I vote for Bahamut. Let's give Bill a Chance.

You know what, I'm going to throw my weight (if any exists) behind Duff as well. He is VERY active, and as 6Imm6ortal6 said, he argues well.

you know what i hate? When theres a really good band that you get into but hate the large percentage of their fans, know what I mean? For example, I really like Tool but I hate the fans because most of them are pretentious douchers who analyze everything about the band. Anyone else get that same feeling?

I probably got pigeon-holed as a 'pretentious fan' the second I said I'm a huge fanboy for Tool, but I just love their music :)

But yea I know what you mean, it seems to mostly be prog fans thare are quite pretentious.

My mate makes a point of reminding me that Dream Theater have always been a bunch of pretentious pricks, talented, but pretentious in their prickery.

Bands or artists with a shitty fanbase?

Gotta start with Iron Maiden, then comes Slipknot, then every and all Symphonic bands (especially if they have a female vocalist), Slayer, Metallica, Pantera, every and all pop vocalist (especially if it's a female), kvlt black metal bands, all post-hardcore and deathcore bands and todays fans of classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd (these bands being a huge part of the history of modern music, these fags seem to believe that it's a good reason to be pretentious, over-confident and use the "this bands *insert something about the band here* is the most awesome of all time" formula).

So Duff, have you heard new Agalloch yet?

Nothing even close to most true hauntings there are exceptions though, the stuff that my girlfreind (whos sensitive) and I have experienced isn't close to what they perceive in the movie. Shes lived in multiple houses with people who've passed long ago still lingering in there past homes.

Also, I checked out the EP that Rhapsody released a little after Frozen Tears of Angels. It's called The Cold Embrace of Fear (they seem to have a The Adjective Noun of Noun thing going on here). It feels like a balance between the heavier elements on Frozen Tears of Angels and the more folksy and orchestral stuff on Triumph or Agony. It's a great EP, with the third track ,The Ancient Fires of Har-Kuun, being the definite highlight.

this isn't really a band fanbase, but some of my least favorite fans are these guys: those dudes that have been listening to cannibal corpse and nile and dying fetus or suffocation for a few months and think that death metal is THE HEAVIEST SHIT EVER. god, those guys are fucking annoying. i'm not gonna judge you if you like entry-level death metal, but if you're gonna talk on and on about how brutal it is, i think i'll judge you.

also, what's up with nerds and geeks and dorks getting into metal? i feel like for every stereotypical hardass metalhead, there's ten kids whose lives have centered around dungeons and dragons, computer software and 4chan since they were twelve. maybe this is just something i see where i live, but from what i can see, many "nerdy" guys somehow get into listening to metal in their high school years.
