I think Attack Attack is so bad it's good.. It's really just a hilarious parody of the metalcore genre.

I know... It's funny how I enjyo myself listenning to Stick Stickly with the videos. Watching these guys throw their instruments all over the place just to look busy, banging their heads like there's no tomorrow... is just so much fun for me. I just love all the grotesque moves of the vocalist and how well he can two step. I love the emo face of their guitarist when they start the chorus with the auto-tune. And man, the fucking electro part, that's just mad !!!

I recall someone was asking for drone recommendations a while back, I just remembered after listening to it now to recommend The Angelic Process - Weighing Souls With Sand. It's really an amazing album, sort of Neurosis meets My Bloody Valentine, incredibly powerful music.

Hipster girls are better looking than Metal ones.
And they're less annoying. Which is saying something.
Also lol goffs no.

I'm not going to judge them in any other way because I'm shallow like that.

Any individual following a trend in it's entirety is a dumb sheep. What is an Hipster girl and what is a Metal girl? You got to tell me... My girlfriend likes Metal, but doesn't wear band shirts, patches in denim vests or whatever would make her a "metal girl". Even if she would wear band shirts? That's pretty much all you need to look metal... I hope you are not talking about these goth girls who dress all black and wear piercings all over the face, with dyed black and red hair, black metal band shirts... when you say "Metal girls".

To look metal you pretty much just need a band shirt if you're a girl. But being an hipster is all about the look. So there is a big difference. Being an hipster is all about the look... and it's fucking pretentious. It's wannabe artsy and their stupid culture is nothing more than the pop culture of the 60's and 70's... but with stupid Indie Rock instead of Led Zeppelin, only...

Does anyone listen to Wintersun? They sound kinda like Amon Amarth, but sped up. I just started listening to them the other day, and I love them. Their guitarist is so fucking good at sweep picking.

I fucking love the one album they have but now I'm reminded of how we still don't have Time! 6 years since they released the debut album and still counting.

Yeah, they were one of the first melo-death bands I ever listened to. I love their one album, and can't wait until Time comes out of Limbo.

Any other recommendations for melo-death bands like them? I listen to Amon Amarth, them and Norther already.

If you really like Wintersun, you should check out Ensiferum. Jari was on their first two albums and they're both really good albums. Even the albums without him are worth listening to.

If you want stuff that sounds somewhat like Wintersun, you have to check out Ensiferum, like Bahamut told you. Otherwise I don't know what to tell you... Maybe... Eternal Tears Of Sorrow or Dimension Zero.

If you are looking for some Melodic Folk Metal, than I highly suggest you listen to Equilibrium and Finsterforst. These two bands will Folk your ears (see what I did thar?)

I'm just curious, has there ever been a time when listening to music, and the lyrics made you uncomfortable?

Yeah this one time when I was retardedly high and I listened to "The Omega Point" by Cehalic Carnage...

Eh, Ensiferum is good but I don't like the angelic singing voices in some of the songs. I'll check out the other two bands though.

Maybe you've heard of Stalaggh. It's not metal at all, it's just noise. There is no lyrics, but listenning to this, you just can't feel good...

Stalaggh - Projekt Terrror

And when you read about this project further more... it becomes even more horrible...

Original idea, but very repetitive material. These guys have been just way too far with all these mental patients. In the end, all their projects sound pretty much the same. But reading through some bios of them and lurking around last.fm I found some stuff about some other band named Silencer, which is actually a metal band this time, and not a noise/dark ambient project. And some other dark ambient project named Diagnose: Lebensgefahr. The retarded swede behind this is named Nattramn and from what I've read, he was institutionalized.

Have you ever listenned to Silencer? Man this shit is ridiculous. While the riffs are good, there is something like... 1 fucking riff per song, sometimes 2. Maybe they just don't put so much effort on the music itself so they can leave all the room for that depressed chipmunk and his horrible vocals.

I've read some reviews of their one and only album on MA. Some of the reviewers suck on his balls saying: "First off, I'd like to address Nattramn's vocal style. If you are one who has jumped on the bandwagon and refuses to listen on the basis that he sounds like a 'dying cat', then you are not listening to the music correctly. His style is to show his real mental capacity is running out, and that he's going insane. It makes sense to me that he would use such a falsetto like scream in his music."

The guy who wrote the review gave this album a rating of 100%...
Some other guy said this: "I'll expound on Nattramn's infamously trite vocal performance right away. It would be far too easy to say, "OMZGS, hE SOUNDS LIEK A DYING CAT, OMGZ DIS SUXXCKZ." And while that may be true, attributing bizarreness to low quality is a pop mentality. Where Nattramn fails is his powerlessness and static tonality. His voice can basically be pigeonholed into two categories: an eardrum-shattering shriek, which transforms all of the abstract, self-pitying lyrics into "NYYYEEEEAAARRGHHHH," and a pitiful sobbing whimper executed in a failed attempt at emotional intensity."

I have to say I'm pretty much with the second guy. Anyway, I suggest you guys listen to it and see for yourself, here's a little link

I've had Silencer's album for a couple years now. I don't mind it.

I used to have an album or two by Diagnose but I can't seem to find it/them right now. Hm.

Also, my girlfriend decided to wear one of my shirts with her halloween costume so now my Exhumed shirt is covered in sparkles. Fuck.

Dunno dude... Knowing the vocalist's real life story is just adding to the fact I cannot appreciate what he does... And I just feel that these guys are trying too hard to be the darkest, most depressive and gross band in the world. Or maybe it's just what the fans do with their work that seems to give them this reputation. It might not be their idea, but all the videos and slideshows made for their songs that I have seen on YouTube are made of creepy and disgusting footages.

I've read stuff about them on YouTube and various forums and even Wikipedia. And it seems that their vocalist's life story is the most important matter of discussion surrounding the band... I may not be expressing myself properly, but it seems that what made this band's succes reside almost exclusively in the vocalist's behavior in and out of the studio.

I was listening to the Liquid Metal channel on Sirius radio and the DJ payed his respects to the late great Chuck Schuldiner and they played a Death song. It made me pretty sad. He was so talented, so loved, and so very young. He could have made so many more albums and bands and a new wave of metal fans could have experienced his live shows. Poor guy.
