but look at the legacy he left behind, millions of death metal bands out there wouldn't do what they wanted without that man.

That's the only hope left after his passing. He proved that a tiny band can start by working hard and playing the music they created with their bare hands can turn into metal legend. It's just sad when a young musician is taken in their prime, you know what I mean? They could have achieved a lot more. The Sound of Perseverance had a new progressive and dark sound going. I loved it. It needed another album for closure.

I actually really like Silencer, the vocals are at least different, not to say the best but i enjoy them.
Or maybe it's just what the fans do with their work that seems to give them this reputation. It might not be their idea, but all the videos and slideshows made for their songs that I have seen on YouTube are made of creepy and disgusting footages.

I agree that the fans definetly overplay the vocalists life story but the first time i listened to the album i had no idea of who was behind the music. I would like to see what his intentions were with releasing the album and creating Silencer, maybe he was trying to show everyone how dark and depressive being mentally ill is, or was it a way to let out his emotions and express himself. either way i like the music.

Not exactly metal related unless zombies are just deemed metal, anyone else watch The Walking Dead series premiere tonight?
ive read all the comics out so far and now with the series out i have something to tide me over in between issues, gotta say i love it so far.

This is fucking terrible.

And instead of singing "You'll take my life, but I'll take your's too", it sounds like he's singing "I'll stretch your mother's teeth I'll fuck her too".

But good news, this band called Mithras fucking rule and I don't have any of their albums.

I am the Melodeath faggot so I must help you! :)

Here are some bands:

Insomnium (Melodic Death with Doom influences) - If you like melancholic stuff with a lot of feeling and emotion, don't hesitate in listening to Insomnium.

Dark Tranquillity (Melodic Death Metal)

Children of Bodom (If you like Norther you may like them too)

Old In Flames (Melodic Death Metal) New In Flames (Alternative Rock/Metal) - Personally I hate new In Flames, and if you're looking for Melo just listen to their first albums.

Old Soilwork (Melodic Death Metal) New Soilwork (Metalcore/Modern Rock) - If you want melo just listen to their old stuff.

At The Gates (Melodic Death Metal)

Skyfire (Melodic Death/Progressive/Power Metal)

Scar Symmetry (Melodic Death Metal)

Quo Vadis (Technical Melodic Death Metal)

In Mourning (Gothic Metal (early), Progressive Melodic Death Metal (later))

If you like In Mourning you must like Opeth.

My halloween was decent, I corpsed up and walked around the burbs for awhile with my girlfreind.

She does corpse paint way better than me and she dosen't even listen to metal

Then we walked a cemetary at night, nouthing special happened other than her hearing whispers in the wind.

Hey guise! I recently picked up a God Dethroned album, The Lair of the White Worm. Are there any other albums by them I should get, or are there any other bands like them, cuz I really liked that album, ever since I picked it up Saturday, it's gotten almost nonstop playtime.

Yes, I've listened to it. But I just can't figure out how to call it good. I know it's noise... but it sounds a little bit ridiculous to me, yet interesting but I can't call it good...

I got the new Slough Feg album today and while it's good and enjoyable, it feels like a step down from Ape Uprising. Ape Uprising had some really impressive tracks but this feels like taking a few steps back. Still, it's a recommended album for the Slough Feg fans.

It's a totally cool thing until you visit the pool and witness what would be an enormous sausage fest... in trunks.
Later in the night once the alcohol has flown... no trunks.
I'm totally convinced of this and have been for some time. Whether the few bikini clad ladies are worth all that cock, I'm not sure.
Could just go to MetalCamp in Czech Republic (I think). The main stage is right by the beach/sea. And its like £40 for a weekend.

Except when it rains like this I suppose.

So you're basing a decision to go on a cruise dedicated to viewing metal bands on the amount of good-looking girls there? I feel like if I were to go on that, I'd pay the money to go on it to watch the bands, not to pick up chicks.

If I was going to a festival on a cruise, I'd be going for the cruise. I can go to a Metal festival with similar line ups for far less and far nearer to home. Or even further away and still probably cheaper.

Yeah, this emo douchebag thinks that's brutal death metal. So, on the subject of good music, Nevermore's new album is pretty kickass. Jeff Loomis is shredding and riffing it up, as usual.
