Blotted Science, Spastic Ink, Gordian Knot, his solo project. The guy is simply amazing !!!
good that you got around to checking out Gordian Knot. The self-titled album is great, though I'm pretty sure Ron is only on one track. They had other impressive guests as well, such as John Myung and Steve Hackett. They even got one of the best drummers ever, Bill Bruford as a member. Sean Malone is good on bass in this project, but his solo album, Cortlandt, not so much.

Even if Ron is not the one playing. If he got involved in the project, I know it's worth it. But I'd like to know who's playing on each tracks. You know where I could find the exact line-up for each tracks?

You have to hear Apokatastasia. awesome, mostly instrumental, prog metal with beautiful violin playing.

Have you listened to Vanden Plas, yet? I like them, especially Far Off Grace and Christ.0. definitely the soft side of prog metal, though.

Thanks for the suggestions dude :) I will try to get my hands on some of their work, starting with Vanden Plas, it will probably easier to find.

Wow... another "metalhead" who can't listen to anything else than MTV metal bands... I hate it when douche bags like you think they can leave comments, and actully think that people will take them seriously.

Anyway, make a list of 10 metal bands you like, or get the fuck out.

That's ridiculous... better than Cliff Burton? Ridiculous!

It's just, Chris Jericho sounds so much like a young Ozzy, it's just so goddamn hard to not like them.

Though I admit, they do sound a bit generic.

I had the most amazing night ever last night!

Katatonia was amazing and played SEVENTEEN SONGS. (The only ones I really wanted to see that they didn't play were "I Am Nothing" and "Sleeper")

Orphaned Land play about 8 or so songs and the only one I really wanted to see that they didn't play was "Seasons Unite". (They were REEEEEEEEEALLY fun)

Swallow The Sun were epic as always, unlike the other two bands whom I hadn't seen before this is my 4th time seeing these guys, they played six or so songs including a part of "plague of butterflies" and my all time favorite StS song - "Swallow".

Now here's for the kicker - the venue has two stages, an upstairs one with a capacity of 800 people and a downstairs one with a capacity of 2,500. Last night their were two shows: Katatonia, Orphaned Land and Swallow The Sun on the upstairs stage and had Hank III and Assjack(Neither of whom I have ever heard of) playing downstairs.

What's so funny about this? Apparently only about 700 or so tickets were sold for the downstairs show, the upstairs show was totally sold out and give or take about 400 people were turned away at the door.

Anyway - Katatonia/Orphaned Land/Swallow The Sun - I recommend every one in the US or Canada check this tour out, you WON'T be disappointed!

Make war, not love.

Devin Townsend announced that his next two albums, Ghost and Deconstruction, will be released in April of next year. I am extraordinarily excited for these two albums.

It is a good song. I notice it's from Nordland I but that album is so hard to get. The only place I've found it available for a reasonable price is Play.com but those fuckers are so unreliable.

All I've heard by them and I don't really want to hear anything else.

Yeah, it's not a lot to go on. But what I can hear sounds part None So Vile and part And Then You'll Beg.

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

You know what I really don't get about deathcore? It's the fact they choose to make that crap instead of something better. Pretty much all deathcore bands are talented, I mean they have to be, they aren't playing 4 chord pop rock, they have to have some talent on their instruments. And then they go and heave out chug chug breakdowns and shitty screaming.
