What do you guys think is the single most epic line ever spoken by a metal band? For me, it's the opening line to Carnivore by Carnivore.
Also I hear you guys talking about blackend stuff and whatnot. Well, I have two simple truths to my taste. One, I do not like anything with Blackened in it and two, I cannot like Death metal. Not at all. No matter how hard I've tried, I can't like it. I heard Animetal saying I liked old death metal, well which one was it? And because I'm going to try again, what is the single best death metal song in the world. No matter the age.

Death isn't like any of the other dm bands. You HAVE to give them a chance, it might take a while getting used to chuck though. It's pretty much agreed here that death is amazing. All of their songs are good.
I've tried listening to some of their songs on the Leprosy album. Not good singing. Singing is what kills it.

Well, you're not the first person who has posted in this thread from Germany. As a matter of fact, I did almost 3 years ago on August 15, 2007 (p. 1,095 of this thread). Of course, I was 17 back then, and other than that 11-day Europe trip, it was a pretty rough year for me.

Chuck's voice is amazing. But you have to learn to get past vocals. Their are sooo many amazing bands that growl or screech. I don't listen to this stuff just for the vocals. Like Bloodbath, they have such an amazing feel to their music and I mean the kind of music that makes you want to headbang until a piece of your spine is jutting out of your neck ( for me anyway). A lot of times the ugly vocals just add more rhythm and feel to their music.
Although I can admittedly say I didn't like death the first time I listened to them.
When I asked to join before, I just started listening to Heavy Metal. I now listen to TRUE metal.

Disturbed, avenged sevenfold, and korn are basically nu-metal. And nu-metal is not metal sooo yeah. However we don't hate metallica so much. Also Blue oyster cult is heavy metal so yes.
