It's true one of the more popular metal bands, Slayer, has a lot of fans but lacks technical skills as much as nigeria lacks food. (there is a little but, but you can't see it).

I have no idea what you mean by that, but being technical for the sake of technicality leaves you with shallow, soulless bands like Necrophagist and Spawn of Possession who are so focused on noodling that they forget to write songs, or even play a few riffs. Also their guitar tones fucking suck.

How many times has Dio died now? Or am I thinking of someone else. Nonetheless I'm glad it's all just a rumor.

I'm reading you guys saying how crap MA is, but I don't see any other sites that are closer to getting right what is metal and what is not. Though of course the reviews are full of dicks, and they have some bands that shouldn't be there. I love when the first thing someone posting a low score review does in their review is admit they don't appreciate or get the particular type of metal in the first place. Isn't that just special? But anyway, I'm just saying I don't see anyone doing better. I think it's good for info and finding new bands.

The the first list I did was the bands I listen to the most. (Apart from Dio.) But the second one is just the Metal bands I listen to. Although I didn't want to put the third one on the list. (Because of there name.) But I had to because they are the band I listen to the most in college because its funny to be writting something quite normal for a Media student, like a TV review and have that playing in you ear.

Hey guys, I've had this album by Sigh in my iTunes library for a while... It's called Hangman's Hymn. I didn't really listen to it carefully and yesterday, my iTunes was playing on shuffle and one of the songs came up and I thought it was good.

So I decided to go through the whole thing and now I think this album is fucking awesome !!!
What do you guys think?

Like you said, I don't think you can really apply it to deathcore and death metal. In fact, there is so little in common between deathcore and death metal... I can't even understand why they call it deathcore. Plus, death metal fans usually are the biggest haters of deathcore :P

I've missed seeing Dio twice before due to my personal life issues getting in the way.
