I've linked blogs here before (I even did it last week for my latest album review) so share away. The song was really interesting.

Alright, thanks for the heads up Bahumut. Here's reviews of the albums Anywhere and Satori by a friend of mine.
Some truly great stuff, I'd even recommend it to people who aren't fans of metal. Also, the apparent lack of Engrish which is common in most Japanese bands pleases me greatly. :P

I haven't read the lyrics, but there's no glaring Engrish from what I've heard. (If there is, I probably missed it because I pay more attention to the riffs than I do the vocals.)

All right, I've heard the name Blitzkrieg tossed around here a few times. Who are they, and are they any good? And if so, what album should I get?

If you mean Blitzkrieg (UK) they're the band Metallica took their sound from.

Yeah, them. So, are they good?

Yeah, I suppose, if you like really thrashy NWOBHM. I wouldn't say they're bad, but they don't do much for me. I only know them from an amateur NWOBHM compilation and only remember them because they sound a lot like Metallica.

Now this is from 1981, guys. I know I'm pretty biased against Metallica to begin with, but it is pretty suspicious that Metallica sounds a lot like them. It goes way beyond what normal band worship would be.

I do agree that it's Megadeth's best album and an amazing album, one worthy to be in the collection of all thrash metal fans.

HOWEVER, I hate it when people say it's one of the most influential albums in thrash metal....especially since it came out towards the end of the original thrash movement.

I don't know what's so wrong about expressing opinions here. I think Rust In Peace if the greatest Thrash Metal album I have heard, and than Animetal comes saying it's hilarious that I can believe something like that.

Well dude... I think it's hilarious that you can like Anime... I still don't see why your fucking opinions should be considered as stupid and silly...

Give me a fucking break, Rust In Peace is one of my favorite albums, now just fuck off my back.

Anthrax were really good back in the day, or so I'm told.

Yeah, Spreading the Disease, Among the Living and Persistence of Time are good albums. I've yet to hear Fistful of Metal but I do want to listen to it sometime.

Either way, if it were up to me, it'd be Overkill or Testament.

Overkill sounds more appropriate.

Sounds more like Diamond Head than Metallica to me but Diamond Head are one of the biggest influenes on Metallica.

But yeah, Cliff being better just goes without saying. I'd have Cliff in any Metal band over any bassist. I'd have Cliff on vocals, guitar and drums too.

Yep. I've never heard anyone claim it to be the most influential anyway. I think thats safely in the hands of Master of Puppets, or Ride the Lightning given that its more Thrash and less Prog than MoP.

Vaguely related, but if you like hard blues rock, you might be interested in checking out Speed, Glue & Shinki. Not mindblowing or anything, but really solid.

I'm sorry, it's far too hard for me to agree with this considering the good things that came out from And Justice for All. Fantastic album and I'm not sure if it's worth sacrificing for Metallica's drama to not happen later on. Who knows, if they stopped then, hundreds of other events in metal may have not happened either.

I think Oppugnant would totally agree with me on this... Altered Genesis is the best Death Metal album to ever be released.

I know I'm going to get a ton of shit dropped on my head by all the old-school death metal fans of the Metal Hell, but Altered Genesis is just a album flawless. Nuff said.
