Youthanasia is good, Cyptic Writings has some good moments while Risk is complete shit.

I dunno. While I liked Dawn of Victory, Holy Thunderforce especially, I thought that the melodies in places were a little off, like they could have been better if they'd changed a note here or there. It's really nitpicky to complain about such a great album, but I don't see any of that on Frozen Tears of Angels. Still, I can see why people would prefer Dawn of Victory.

Oh, I thought it was all good. Definitely nothing for me to complain about except...

The only complaint I can make for that album is that little girl going "La la la la laaaa" at the start of Trolls in the Dark. I mean, what's the point of that?
It gives it a more fantasy story feel to it, I guess. Which isn't really necessary considering it's a fantasy story in music form anyway.

I don't get that fantasy feel at all. I just think some little kid walked into the studio and messed around with the recording equipment.

As for the boring fillers, I can relate that to Symphony of Enchanted Lands. I know this is the album with Emerald Sword but after Eternal Glory, I feel the album loses itself.
I can't really comment on that, as I've never listened to any songs from it apart from Emerald Sword.

Wow. Usually when anyone gets a Rhapsody album, the first one is Symphony of Enchanted Lands. I realise now that best song =/= Magnum Opus album.

I always thought there was something odd about Anthrax. If only every metalhead could agree to call a new Big Four.

Oddly enough, I've hardly listened to Testament.

Foudre Noire is amazing. It's like twenty minute long Horna songs with really well put together melodies intertwined.

I'll take (early)Kreator and Sodom over Metallica, and Megadeth over all three.

Anthrax were really good back in the day, or so I'm told.

Either way, if it were up to me, it'd be Overkill or Testament.

Must be, testament is probably one of the most generic, least inspired thrash metal bands in existence.

And with that note, besides The Legacy do they have ANY albums worth getting?

Their were some great US/Canadian thrash metal bands, just they tended to not be as popular as the big four, Testament and Pantera. (Even though Pantera only had one purely thrash metal album and one thrash-ish album.)

I enjoy all of Testament's stuff (except Demonic). But so I've stated. But personal favorite albums, I really like The New Order and The Gathering. Those are the two I would recommend to get.

The whole Satori album is pretty much an unbreakable flow of awesome. I'd give it a 5/5.
Anywhere is pretty good, too. Quick question though, am I allowed to link to blogs on here? If not, just google "satori blogtopus" if you want it.
