That's how pits should be.

That's why I love pits, there's always a sense of brotherhood in them, as in the second you fuck over onto your arse someone will almost immediately yank you up and shove you back in there, unless you're actually hurt then they'll let you leave.

I just cannot fucking stand hardcore dancing, 2-step is ok, just dont headbutt me you wankers, not cool.

I don't really care about pits. My friends and I are almost always the biggest guys there so we always wreck shit. I usually only go into the pit if I see someone being a dick to someone I know. Just so I can give them a boot to the teeth and get them to smarten up.

I like Ulver's black metal, but I really love Ulver for the later stuff like Perdition City, a Quick Fix of Melancholy, and Blood Inside.

Well Garm is the founder and pretty much the owner of Ulver. That picture was taken for the promo of Kveldssanger. Bergtatt and Nattens Madrigal are black metal though. Kveldssanger is folk.

Just to add on to these points. He was about 16 when they started recording, he runs Jester Records, he works with countless other artists and contributes to their albums and is a bajillion times more talented than Mikael Akerfeldt and anyone whom would suggest otherwise obviously indulges in touching small defenseless children in inappropriate ways.

He also has the gayest name ever in Trickster G.

I don't know about that last part lol, but I think Garm has worked on the soundtrack of a movie. The movie is titled Uno. I can't remember where I've read about this. But I think this is great. I just want to make sur I'm not missinformed.

I would like to see the movie for the sole reason that Garm worked on the music.

Picturing The Past by Sonata Arctica

Hell the pits in the Iron Maiden concert were pretty disgusting...
It rained and we were on the grass, so it became this pasty...muddy...thing.
Then people starting pissing and some shitting on it.
Then when the concert began it all got splashed and made this delicious Mud+shit+piss+grass thing.
And some people fell on the ground, hell I even wonder how I didn't have to amputate my foot after that.

Some crazy shit, but it was freaking awesome.

Well, Ulver did the soundtracks for the movies Svidd Neger and Lykanthropen, which are both good soundtracks.

And well, yeah, duh, Garm is more talented than Akerfeldt.

Dude, those albums are golden. Thank you so much.

Nice :)

Neothrash? First I've heard of it. Is it the result of nu-metal and metalcore having buttsex or something?

Neothrash? Never heard of it. The wording does, however, sound like what Static X and Powerman 5000 would probably do. About the inbred part, where the hell did you come up with that?!

Haha, very funny you guys. Anyway, I've been gone for a few days. Any of you guys discover some sweet metal bands? I found a few myself when I got back, mostly stuff in the vein of Manilla Road and Agent Steel.

I guess it could refer to new Thrash bands like Evile and Fueled by Fire.

Except that would be fucking stupid.

Moshpits are fucking stupid anyway. I cant understand what is so fun about them, i go to a concert to enjoy the music, not to get pushed around by a bunch of assholes.

I actually agree with you on this. I'd much rather go to a concert for the music rather than be getting pushed around. There's enough of that shit in the London crowds. Fortunately for me, there were no moshpits at Opeth's show last night and we were so close to the stage. I would have thought there'd have been one nearby.

At 4/5/10 08:14 PM, HeavenDuff wrote: Oh... that guy from Opeth...

That's what I was wondering. They're completely different to each other so it didn't make any sense to me for them to be compared. I'm guessing it was brought up because of my initial comments on Opeth's show in London.

Speaking of, I'm going to write a blog about the show later but I'll let you all know what they played besides the entirety of Blackwater Park:

Forest of October
Advent
April Ethereal
The Moor (FUCK YES)
Wreath
Hope Leaves
Reverie/Harlequin Forest
The Lotus Eater
