What do you guys write about? Like, what would you say was the main lyrical theme?

Abstract themes. Nothing that makes any sense to anyone other than the writer. We were gonna go with Triumph of Venus, but I'm open to other ideas. Sorry if I "exploded" earlier, mothballs just angers me.

So as you do not seem to respond to my earlier post, I will just consider that you thought they were not good suggestions.

Oh my bad Duffy, I didn't see your post. Still, you're names are too silly or weed references, something I want to avoid.

So you really are making Stoner/Sludge only for the sound and not for the lyrical themes. I really thought that to be stoner you had to write lyrics about drugs.

Then yeah, tell us what you guys sing about so we can think of a better name.

No, not at all. Look at bands like Torche or Kylesa. I'm sure they smoke weed, but it's not their impetus for writing. I don't smoke either, I just love that kind of music.

Like I said, they're abstract and very personal. Right now we have a song called, Bury Me and My Ghosts but that's it.

It's related to the Mayhem discussion.

What about Pareidolia or Apophenia Idio? They sound pretty cool and they could apply to lyrics with abstract themes.

I think they're both great shouts. Pareidolia especially.

So ZP Theart has left DragonForce. Funny he leaves now as the other day I was going through my A-Z Metal and DragonForce had to be next on the list and I was thinking to myself "He's nothing particularly special." I would hope this would be a sign of their next album being something different apart from the vocals but I won't to avoid possible disappointment.

ME! However, there isn't a lot of folk metal in my library. I only have about 6 bands and that's it.

There was an interview with Varg in the latest issue of Metal Hammer.

Apparently, he thinks things didn't turn out "too bad".

To be fair, they didn't. For a massive bell end who killed someone, then for some reason stocked up on guns and shit when on out on parole he's done very well.

Fair enough.

I've never really taken the time to listen to Burzum. Should I?

If you're into his style of black metal then yeah I'd say it's worth checking out. It never hurts to get a couple of albums and see if you like it or not. I'd personally recommend it. Try either Filosofem, Det Som Engang Var or Belus. Belus is probably the most accessible.

Depressive Suicidal Black Metal... beautiful...

Also if you know any Melodic Black Metal bands, can you just tell me?

Old news of a band is old.

But they're still awesome.

Also, i'm going to apply for the new dragonforce vocalist role - for giggles.

And if by some off chance my shittie falsetto wins then I will be in awesomeness.

Like I said the new band Stormlord has some epic folk metal as well.
