From a distance it looks cool though, only up close do you notice how ridiculous it looks.
But they were a bunch of drugged up Brummie's in the 70's, so I'd cut them some slack when it comes to album design :P.

Hahaha! I know! But wasn't there like one sober guy in the place who could have said:
"Em, guys... This cover is laughable and shitty..."

"Oh well, I guess we could have made a nice cover, but it doesn't matter. It's not like some kid in 2010 will remember about this. I don't even remember what we are talking about right now, so it really just doesn't matter."

And I'd give funniest album cover to this:

This is just gross. I can't identify what is that shit he's holding, but I can make a good guess, and this is still gross.

Still, Sabbath as no kind of excuses for that horrible cover they made for Paranoid since their debut album had a very nice cover.

In 70's Birmingham surely the idea of weirdly uniformed black people coming through the woods with swords was a very genuine fear? So it's probably incredibly apt :P.

Alright...

Job For A Cowboy

Beneath The Massacre

Cannibal Corpse

Slayer

All Shall Perish

As Blood Runs Black

Carnifex

Despised Icon

Suicide Silence

Whitechapel

Oh, and Behemoth.

See... mostly deathcore.

I think (I'm not good with subgenres)

It really doesn't matter if you like Deathcore. You can still like core and be a part of the Hell, like I am.

From your list I will make you some subjections, than maybe you will find your interest in the Hell.

Beneath the Massacre, even if core influenced, are still playing Metal.
Maybe you could be interrested in the band Benighted (Albums: Icon, ICP)
and maybe Decapitated and Blood Red Throne.

If you like Cannibal Corpse, maybe you will like the side project in which their bassist as taken part, Blotted Science. They are not into all the brutal knife raping shit and are more technical and progressive. Still you could like it.

Slayer. Thrash Metal :P
You like Slayer, you could try Kreator (I only own Enemy Of God, but they have a shitload of good albums)
If you are going to listen to thrash metal, you have to get some Megadeth and I know Overkill have a few good albums... but they also made some shitty albums. So ask around about them. You should also listen to Immortal's album: Damned In Black. They may be Blackened Thrash Metal, they are more thrash than black to me.

You like Behemoth, you should check some Panzerchrist. Blackened Death Metal is a vast scene, you could really find stuff you like right there.

You see, you may like core, but you are of these core kids who tend to listen to the most metal influenced core. Not the jump-the-fuck-up kind of core. So if you dig around a little you could find gold.

Pay a visit to www.lastfm.com and www.metal-archives.com some time in the future. These are two of my favorite websites when it comes to music and metal.

So now I've really been getting into Celtic Frost. They're pretty different from what I expected them to be. For being an extreme band that influenced Black metal they just seem... Weird. Well the vocals do anyway.

Okay, I really like Benighted. And from what I've listened to, I like Blood Red Throne too. I only like some Decapitated. Kreator. Now one of my favorite bands.

I listened to Suffocation, Gates Of Ishtar, and Dying Fetus. Love 'em.

Again, musicians seem not to care as much as fans do about the difference between core and metal.

They only care about what's going to get them the most money. Like Metallica did with St. Anger. Except this time it's only one person, not all of Dream Theater.

I wouldn't say that. If Green Day's drummer left, I don't think Portnoy would ever think about replacing him, even for just a recording session

But remember when Joey Jordison replaced Ulrich with Metallica?

I think that theses guys really just do not care about the differences between nu-metal, metal and metalcore. Especially for drummers. Cause even if there is a difference in metal drumming and metalcore drumming, the differences are not as big as the differences between core guitar and metal guitar.

Nu uh. American musicians are just whores. Well. Drummers are whores. They'll except any money from anyone. And anyway, Portnoy could've seen it as a way to improve the band. In fact, Dream Theater have been shit for ages, Mike probably likes that A7X crappy, crap, crapola.

At 2/25/10 03:30 AM, HeavenDuff wrote: I wouldn't say that. If Green Day's drummer left, I don't think Portnoy would ever think about replacing him, even for just a recording session

Urgh, stop saying stupid things, stupid. Hurting my brain. With the stupidity.

All three things you just mentioned suck cock, therefore, do not matter.

Well, yes I agree. Of course Metallica wouldn't give a shit, they would love to suck the cock of Slipknot, just to get even more famous. Although a lot of older metal bands see metalcore as a 'progression' while failing to understand that it's 'regression' and 'faggotaidsgaylordtion'. If you listen to A7X, you will notice that they can shred like fuck. Their music and lyrics how ever are terrible. But of course, drumming you cannot pick on a lot. I don't give a shit that Portnoy did it, he probably made a lot of money off the cunts.

But the deathbat tat, wtf.
