There is a big difference between death core and melo-death metal. For one anyone can scream, it's not hard. Growling though actually takes a technique. There are however some growlers who are just terrible though. As for guitar most deathcore I've listened to is mainly power chords and the occasional random sweep. A lot of melo-death metal guitar is actually complex and you know... melodic. Drumming, deathcore drummers basically just do the same shitty blast-beat over and over again.

It just depends on what melo-deathmetal you listen to.

So this year i will be going to Tuska and its going to be my first Metal festival.
I'm going to see Mastodon and Megadeth(main reason im going there), and there will be bands like Testament and Overkill. Devin Townsend is playing Ziltoid the omniscient in its entirety on the first day but i'm only going for the 2 last days unfortunately.
More bands will be announced later, hopefully not just bland bullshit like Cannibal corpse.

From a distance it looks cool though, only up close do you notice how ridiculous it looks.
