Sorry I have to bring this up like the others did, but Venom isn't black metal, they're more like classic thrash stuff. They're still good, though.
To give you an answer to your original question, I would say that Bathory is one to look at. They've got a blend of progressive/black/viking metal.
If you mean bands like Venom, I would say any thrash metal bands like Municipal Waste or Toxic Holocaust.
What part of "Venom is black metal" is so hard for you guys to understand?

my band's show tonight kinda sucked, the sound people didn't really know what they were doing so the sound was all messed up and the other guitarist and our drummer got lost because they couldn't hear anything at all
