Hmm, same really. For Rust in Peace :).
Plus its actually cheaper to get the London than Manchester. £12 to Manchester (without a railcard - although I do have one). £9 to London on Megabus.

I wonder if Marty would make a special appearance?

Yep. Plenty. The sort of people who are vaguely into Metal and buy an Iron Maiden tshirt despite having only heard The Trooper.

Too many people with short hair wear Maiden tshirts.

Hey, Hey, Hey, I HAVE SHORT HAIR! There's nothing wrong with it. And I wear Maiden T-shirts. Is there a problem here?

The key to getting long hair is to get through the period where it looks totally shit. You've just got to live with it for a month or so until your hair is like chin hair, and therefore acceptable.

I was lucky I started early with it, I looked like shit young, which doesn't matter as much. But my hair grows slow, so I'm unlucky there.

Oh, and guess what. Suffocation, Behemoth and DevilDriver are having a show right near me, and my parents won't let me go because they think it's dangerous. I know I sound like an angry teenager right now, BUT WHAT THE FUCK MAM HOW IS IT DANGEROUS? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Anyone else going to see these guys in the same lineup sometime? If so, I am envious.

The fact that a mod is allowing that is bullshit; people should get banned for breaking the rules, no exceptions. Just because someone helps locate trolls (who, HINT HINT HINT, are actively seeking attention and therefore easy to find) doesn't mean that they should be banned less; rules are rules, and that's essentially just being a narc or a snitch. But on the internet.

Still the same for me but I'm looking forward to lots of stuff including new albums and most of all, the Opeth concert me and my sister are going to in April.

Sounds nice. New Rotting Christ album in February :) also, Heathen concert in march, and it seems that I won't have a choice, I will probably have to see Heaven Shall Burn in February, since my girlfriend got two cards as a present from a friend, but she doesn't want to go either ^^

They seem to be accepted by a lot of people. However, I see them as more grunge than metal.

You are probably right. Definitely metal influences, but songs like "Would?" sound like Nirvana gone good.

Didn't like it Goats. It's Ponos by the way. It's too poppy, but my opinion probably doesn't count because I don't care for thrash metal anymore. Heathen's new album isn't my style, I couldn't get into it.

Yes, new song up that sounds quite nice. I don't mind modern Rotting Christ, but Non Serviam is just beastly.

Definitely sounds like something I need to check out sometime. I can never say right away as I have an endless list of bands to listen to and I tried out 20 different bands in November. The ones I liked the most from that lot were Budgie, Ministry, My Dying Bride (still need to get an album of theirs) and Brocas Helm.

Still the same for me but I'm looking forward to lots of stuff including new albums and most of all, the Opeth concert me and my sister are going to in April.

Another band I haven't looked into very well (yeah, I suck at times) but it makes February an even busier month. I've already pre-ordered the new Overkill, Gamma Ray and Fear Factory albums and in March, I intend to get new Rhapsody as well as Christopher Lee's symphonic metal album.

They seem to be accepted by a lot of people. However, I see them as more grunge than metal.

Couldn't have said it better. The metal influences sounds right since why else would Them Bones and Angry Chair be sampled in Doom 2?

No one else has ever played grunge right.

Nirvana and Alice in Chains don't exist. got it.

Lux Occulta - the Mother and the Enemy

This is one of the best black metal albums I've heard in months (that is, whole albums from beginning to end). This is black metal with songs that actually stand out, and aren't boring, relentless tremolo fests, like a lot of the shit I dig through that people claim to be gold. Though I still have some other recently acquired black metal albums waiting for my ears.

I can see how you don't enjoy Heathen, since you don't like Thrash, Ponos. But for the Thrasher, it's definitely the most oldschool and honest sounding thrashing in all of the 2000s.

By the way, I got Rotting Christ's recent live DVD for Christmas and it's fucking amazing. Lots of Non Serviam and Thy Mighty Contract material. Everything in great video and sound quality. I can only recommend it.

Also got Crematory's debut album and it's probably their best material. Death/Doom Metal with good atmosphere and only a few keyboard doses too many. Totally not comparable with their later Gothic pop material.

Good song, but I prefer No More Lies off that particular album. The beat seems to be slightly better for me. Don't get me wrong, as a song that you can actually sing, for the fact that it's got very little repetition, Dance of Death is one of Maiden's best.
