I've always seen this ad on the site and it really bugs me. Does this guy look a lot like Anselmo or is it just my imagination?

Fair dos, it's still good.
Also, you think Slipknot just ripped them off with the whole People = Shit song title?
It depresses me that Slipknot would listen to such an awesome band, when they're so crap themselves.
I think its just a coincidence. If Slipknot knew about Dystopia I imagine they'd be all 'OMG GUYS CHECK OUT THIS DYSTOPIA BAND THEY'RE COOL!' thus ruining them forever.
I'm listening to Human
I listen to Dystopia, they fucking rule. Only Nev has given me this gift, over the wonderous interwebs.
Dystopia are sweet, thanks Nev. Nev, I've known you for like, fucking years. YEARS. Where has all this time gone? IT'S GONE. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE.
Fuck, Dystopia are AWESOME.
So you like Dystopia then :P.
Also, I fucking hate Machine Head. GRRRRRRRRRRRR they suck.
They sure do.
So do Trivium. I don't even like Lamb of God. Fuck. BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. I shouldn't really post this drunk but I WANT TO BECAUSE I LOVE YOU ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL.
Trivium are okay in that kind of 'Lol its Trivium' way. And I don't think they act as faggy as your Machine Head's and Lamb of God's who are basically Anselmo's Mk. II who you just know will try and get as many 'FUCK's and 'METAL's into a sentence as possible.
Saint Vitus, The Hidden Hand, Spirit Caravan, The Obsessed. Go listen, Wino fucking rules.
The only thing that puts me off listening to Saint Vitus is the album cover for 'Born Too Late', which is the only album I have. It's so bad. But they are good.
Why am I getting more drunk each minute? This is fucked.
Drinking perhaps?

Trivium are still bad. And people give me funny looks, "You don't like Trivium?". I'm going to this concert and I just know I'm going to meet all this people who are there for them.
I played a backyard gig with my melodeath band and this fuck shouted 'play some Bullet for my Valentine!' after we finished. I just gave him a metal sign, shouted 'YEAH BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE' and walked away and continued drinking. Got me off the hook.

It's a 7/8 out of 10 album, the songs are better live (The sign of true genius) really. The album cover is pink. Why? ANTI CONFORMIST
Get the debut you stupid fuck, it's genius.

Heh, if I'm without ID, I don't even try to get a drink in the public just to be on the safe side. However, at pubs and such, I'm often with my parents so there's not a lot to worry about.
Oh, and I went with Keeper of the Seven Keys part I instead of Blind Gaurdian's Bla Bla Bla Bla Nightfall in Middle Earth. Nev lost, Bahamut won.
I'M WINNER!
GOOD FOR YOU BAHAMUT. Bahamut, why is Keeper of the Seven Keys better than Nightfall in Middle Earth? I mean, I trusted you, but I've not listened to any of them.
The solos in each and every song (besides intro and outro) are awesome, Kiske's singing is top notch and Halloween is full of win.

Because Helloween's first three albums are infinitely classics.
Blind Guardian's Nightfall In Middle Earth is one of Blind Guardian's weakest works, with such highly mediocre songs: Nightfall, Into The Storm, Thorn, Nolder, When Sorrow Sang and The Eldar.
The only not mediocre songs on the album: Curse of Feanor, Blood Tears, Mirror Mirror, A Dark Passage and TIme Stands Still
^All of those being classics., plus all the 30 second tracks REALLY get on my nerves when trying to listen to the album completely.
But if half an album is shit and half is gold, that doesn't mean the gold parts are superior. And when it comes to Blind Guardian they have albums that are entirely gold.
Why am I getting more drunk each minute? This is fucked.
More like, awesome.
Also thanks Nev for explaining the differences between the genres, i'm gonna check out all those bands you recommended.

This dude I met on holiday in Newquay (Staycation, yeah!) was all like 'Yeah I like Metal, DIMEBAG!'. So obviously I had to troll him with my 'More like Corpsebag lol'. He got angry and upset and started shouting in my face when reciting the bands I liked going 'THEY'RE SHIT! THEY'RE SHIT!...' while I kept a straight face. My friend got annoyed that this guy was shouting in my face as he doesn't understand the way trolling Pantera fans works and long story short the guy let me slap him as hard as I could.

I have no idea what his problem is. Half his rant is about how it isn't metal. And I don't see how it's not. Some of it was him saying that part of what makes metal metal is heavily distorted riffs. And I would like to disagree with him on that. I know many metal bands that make clean guitar riffs, mostly prog, but they're still metal, aren't they?

Lol, that almost takes the cake for the stupidest thing you've ever said.
Agalloch don't know how to do metal. They are hardly true metal anyway. As I'm listening to an 80's Iron Maiden heavy metal album, I know this is true metal. Agalloch are fantastic, in their own way.
Anyway, the only Agalloch I regularly listen to are the full lengths and The White. I have 'Of Stone Wind and Pillor' or whatever it's called, but it doesn't do a lot for me.
Pale Folklore is beautiful 8/10, The Mantle is a good 8/10. Duff, what do you think of 'In the Shadow of Our Pale Companion'? Is it too long? Ashes Against the Grain is their masterpiece, 9/10, but I have to say after about 20 listens I'd much rather chuck on some doom. Or some Maiden. Or some Beethoven.
Iron Maiden are great, I should not have stopped listening to these guys all those years ago.
When I stopped listening to Metallica I stopped listening to Maiden as well, and I've got to say, Maiden fucking own the shit out of Metallica. The bass player in my band is a crazy Maiden fan, always wears a Maiden shirt. I like Maiden fans. Has anyone ever met a, oops, can't say that word, I keep getting ban for saying that word, has anyone ever met a 'lame' Maiden fan?
METALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Can't compare Maiden to Agalloch...
Agalloch is teh greatest atmospheric band and they can play black, doom and folk very well. They have explored different genres and everything they touch turns into gold.
Everything on Ashes Against The Grain fits perfectly on the record. There is not a single note that should have been played differently. Each track on this album is awesome and unique.
No really, you cannot compare Iron Maiden to Agalloch. I would say Agalloch are still writting masterpieces, and they are still evolving and pushing their music to another level. Maiden are kind of stalling now. They still make good songs, but they have been the exact same band since the beginning. And anyway, I think Doom Metal as a genre as much more to offer than Heavy Metal.

It's really not a great term. Since death metal has no Hardcore influences, it cannot slam. The more say, "on target" term is Slam Grind/Death. It's like Impaled meets the Germs and Cock and Ball Torture. Mmmm clusterfuck. Tastes like shitstained diapers
ick.

Agalloch for the most part is good, but many of their songs piss me off because they could be done better. I did love me the Mantle though...that album is the motherfuckin' shit.

Yep. Plenty. The sort of people who are vaguely into Metal and buy an Iron Maiden tshirt despite having only heard The Trooper.
Too many people with short hair wear Maiden tshirts.

So I was gonna wait until I got back to come back to Newgrounds and be all "OH HAI GUIZ", but I'm sick in bed with nothing else to do so:
OH HAI GUIZ!
I've been in Europe for the past 7 weeks. I come home in another 3 days. Europe is fucking metal. Quick list of roughly where I can remember we've been:
GB/UK
Belgium
Austria
Germany
Switzerland
Italy
Monaco
France
That may be it...or I may be missing a few countries. Won't list all the cities and stuff I visited but to sum it up:
London was fucking cool, especially Oxford street.
Belgium was pretty cool.
Austria was awesome, first time I ever watched an orchestra play, so epic.
Germany is so metal. You German's are awesome, your language is epic, and the food is even better.
Switzerland is so epic. So neutral. So awesome. I was there for Christmas, it snowed, it was awesome. Also picked up like 4 Swiss army knives while I was there.
Monaco, for the couple of hours I was there, was beautiful, totally cool to see the race circuit with my own eyes and walk through the tunnel and all. I lost EU10 at the free entry casino, fuck paying EU8 to get into the grand casino >:(
Italy is metal. Always has been and always will be. I got a Burzum shirt in Venice. That just proves how metal Italy is.
France is full of arogant assfucks >:( though I did buy a lighter off of a street vendor for EU3, zippo ripoff, not bad. Paris is beautiful, I'll give you that much.
I didn't get stuck on the Failtrain i.e, Eurostar, but it did get delayed about 4 hours while I was on it, plus 2 hours travel time. Fail.
I love the tube in London. It's so metal. And so efficent.
True story: I got absolutely fucked up with the tour director of our second tour at the end of the tour (lol), it was a night I remember well, even after all the alcohol I consumed. I'll sum it up with: Don't drink Absinthium straight. I'll expand on that later.
Yeah.
Oh and I gave new Dark Funeral a listen, not really worth buying just for My Funeral and Stigmata :/

That would make traveling much easier. However, if it turns out they'll only play in London, I'm willing to make a trip there just to see them.
Also, welcome back SMS. Glad to hear you enjoyed your long trip around Europe and I'm also happy to hear you loved Oxford Street. I take it HMV blew your mind away.
