False. Stoner metal is the shit. Those two bands aren't really very good introductory bands for stoner metal, you'd be better off checking out Kyuss, Sleep, Om, Electric Wizard, and the Sword before getting into stoner/sludge like them.

Also, on the subject of best labels, Southern Lord is fantastic. A lot of my favorite bands are signed, and a few of my favorites used to be on them.

I wouldn't even consider Baroness stoner metal, really. They're pretty much just straight-up progressive sludge. High On Fire are stoner sludge for sure, though.

If so, I'm willing to try them out. If not, I'm trying them out anyway, because my curiosity kills me.

I don't know guys, but does metal have ''industrial metal'' ? Because I like to listen sometimes industrial things and when I talk with my friends about metal bands, I've never heard something about industrial metal bands.

For example, Rammstein seems to be classified by some person as a industrial metal band but...is it true?

The term "industrial metal" was founded by a few bands, such as Fear Factory, Nine Inch Nails and others, if I'm not mistaken. I believe it is what they like the refer to their genre as.

Well, I like stoner metal more than any other genre. So I'd say I like it a lot more. You probably wouldn't like it, since it's slow and you seem to dig fast stuff. Stoner is really laid-back and groovy, speed-wise. It's not really slow, but it's a nice moderate tempo that you kind of lock into. It's not particularly frenetic.

Never heard of Southern Lord, honestly. And I thought I heard of them all. But still, i'll say it again:

Southern Lord is mostly stoner and drone and doom and sludge, with some black.

Nine Inch Nails is synth pop, it just does not seem industrial metal at all, the only two real Industrial Metal bands I've ever heard and enjoyed are Türmion Kätilöt and Fear Factory, I think Ministry gets a bit of it too, and Static-X have a little bit of Industrial also, Rammstein is Industrial too but not Metal, probably rock I don't know but they're not Metal, I've also heard a very good Industrial Rock band, called The Grim Reaper Society, but I think Rock don't belong here.

They look like a "just drums" band, the only thing I can find interesting in the band is the vocals, but then there are the drums annoying me, it's not "just drums" it's "just drums that annoy me as hell", I don't enjoy it. Also check The Grim Reaper Society they're what I consider real Industrial Rock.

I see what you're saying. I probably wouldn't be into it, since I happen to like fast music. I can understand how other people like it, but I guess it's just not my kind.

No problem man, you could also see Gojira, although they aren't black metal, they're progressive death metal. But they're from France, so that makes it funnylol

Also, i've been getting into SO much Kreator lately (IKNO IKNO IM RLY LAET SHUTUP SHUTUP) they are fucking awesome. Greatest thrash metal band out there next to Dew-Scented. I haven't listened to one of their songs so far that wasn't awesome.

In fact, downloading so much of their stuff makes me wonder how in the world people buy their music. What's the difference between that and downloading for free online? I hope it's not quality, because I can't afford to be buying my music, I listen to way to much stuff.

So, how do you guys download your stuff? I must know, I only own 1 music album (Necropolis by Vader) and I feel like a piece of shit.

I don't think you know what you're talking about. But then again, I don't know what you're talking about either.

My point still stands; Nine Inch Nails are industrial rock, not synth pop. And from what I'm hearing by Grim Reaper Society, they're not very industrial. There's just a lot of chugging and stuff, not a lot of synths and heavy drums like industrial should have.

I'd say there are quite a few Melodic Death Metal vocalists who deserve their spots among the greatests. Christian Älvestam (Ex-Scar Symmetry), Antony Hämäläinen (Nightrage), Tomas Lindberg (Ex-Nightrage), Jimmie Strimell (Ex-Nightrage), Paul Zinay (Blackguard), Björn Strid (Soilwork), just to name a few.

Btw. I heard some people say that Profugus Mortis was a typo. Care to explain me why? :P
