Nice. I never got into Land of the Free II, but I loved Majesty for some reason.

I thought Land of the Free II was pretty good but maybe a little too much Maiden homages and not enough Land of the Free homages. :P As for Masjestic, that's the next album of theirs I need to get as I've heard some songs on it and so far I'm liking it. It doesn't seem to be as favourable as their other albums but it's another album I wish to get.

Holy War is great. But you should check out the other three as well. Ivory plains is pretty bland except for Storming Across heaven. Pretty bad production values. But Astronomy and Starfall are great! Cassiopeia pwns me in the face.

Yeah, I'll be sure to try them again. After all, I've listened to several bands that I didn't like so much at first but loved later on.

But, yeah honestly i'm not a big fan of Edguy or Avantasia.

I still need to get Avantasia's Metal Opera albums. I remember Nev constantly telling me to get them and here I am at the end of 2009 and I still don't have them. As for Edguy, I do enjoy Mandrake and Hellfire Club but there are some parts in those albums where they're not so enjoyable. Other times, however, hell yes, most especially The Pharoah.

Ebony Tears are pretty nice. They are among the Melodic Death Metal who didn't sell out.

What's up guys, I decided to come back here after like...what? Two years? I've basically been taking college courses for Law in high school and I've been bodybuilding and will be professionally competing sometime next year. I'd be willing to take some recommendations for a song for the competition btw.

Anyway, I still have been listening to metal :), but I realized I was conforming to everyone else's interests to when I was 13 or so here. I'm really not to keen on black metal like Marduk or w.e., but I have a ton of stuff I really do like. For example: Deadlock.

I also like some more trashy stuff like some Sevendust and Soilwork, don't hate haha.

they are a death metal band with some industrial influences
they do however have a female vocalist as well as a male vocalist which may turn some people away
