Saw my mates band again last night/this night whatever.

still rather drunk so apoligies for any spelly mistakes.

They were awesome again, the audience sucks cocks though because it consisted of 99% emos, scenekids and hardcore kids, wankers.

Me and another mate supported them though, loved them and drank many a beer or twenty after the ggig, met some girls and nicked their wine bahaha good times.

the other bands that played were some fuckin generic emo/screamo/hardcore shite, there was a crappy little pit with some cunt wobbling around and raping people, twat.

so YEA that was my night.

g'night folkies

wine is rank btw

I love metal like crackheads love anal. and crack.

Nothing is worse than this at a metal show. Seriously. Emo kids know how to drag their fake fucking emotions into it and take all the chicks by making them feel sorry for them and make the atmosphere faggy like. At least you had a good time and such.

Not a fan of the vocals, though. [probably because I don't like thrash]

Hey dudes, just got back from an Aquabats! concert.

it fucking ruled; the atmosphere was fantastic, they played all my favorite songs, i went on stage and helped them defeat an evil villain, and tons of my friends were there.

Too bloody right, at their next few gigs (in our home area Norwich thankfully) we are for sure gonna kick up some pits, emos or not, smash the fuckers around to make them understand that that is fucking metal.

I mean when I watched the lead guitarist Billy going apeshit on his Warlock (shredding, tapping solos etc.), then saw the next bands guitarist using simple chords over and bloody over, it was so clear who the more talented band were

At least you had a good time and such.

Yea true I spose.

They got a gig with a band called Anteria (I think) out of it though so it's not all bad, and they're supporting The Boy Will Drown in March, that will be the tits, an actual metal crowd.

Gahh...my parents aren't letting me go to the metal show of Arch Enemy, Arsis and Mutiny Within on January 22 because they think it's dangerous. They think it's full of creeps, not to sound like an angry teenager or anything, BUT MY PARENTS ARE FUCKING WIMPS. I HATE THOSE JEWS, WHY DON'T THEY TAKE ME TO A FUCKING ELMO SHOW, MMM? WOULD THAT BE HARDCORE ENOUGH?

Sorry about that, I need to release my rage somewhere. I chose this place, I hope you guys don't mind.

Alright, there are FOUR FUCKING BANDS ON THIS TOUR.

You're going for ARCH ENEMY AND MUNTINY WITHIN and DON'T mention the epicness that is Exodus and Arsis?!?!?

Get out of this club, pl0x.

Seriously though, i'm going to the same show here:

Arch Enemy - I have no idea how good these guys + girl will be live, but I hope there better than bad.
Exodus - Should be fucking sick like they were when I saw them in April with Kreator, also I hope there singer learns to not be a douchebag by then.
Arsis - These guys are going to kick ass, no doubt.
Mutiny Within - These guys are going to suck ass, no doubt.

In the USA there are SIX huge tours in the January/February.

Korpiklaani
Tyr
Swashbuckle
White Wizzard

Arch Enemy
Exodus
Arsis
Mutiny Within

Nile
Immolation
Krisiun
Abigail Williams
Dreaming Dead

Slayer
Megadeth
Testament

Epica
Threat Signal
Blackguard

DevilDriver
Behemoth
Suffocation
Shinning
Goatwhore
Thy Will Be Done
Septic Flesh
Acaro

So really, IMO the Arch Enemy show would be the first show on this tour I would sacrifice if I had to.

HOWEVER, i'm going to try and go to all six of these tours cause they are all playing in Mass! :D

I mentioned Arsis, but not Exodus. Exodus is alright, but I don't care much for them.

Arch Enemy is one of my favorites. They are very good live, if you look at some of their videos. Oh, and Angela Gossow (vocalist of Arch Enemy) is so fucking hot. I seriously want to rape all the fluids out of her, and it kills me that I don't have a chance. If you go, TAKE PICZ PL0X, I WAN MAI PR0N

Arsis - These guys are going to kick ass, no doubt.

They always do.

Mutiny Within - These guys are going to suck ass, no doubt.

Why would you say something like that? They don't have the best vocals, but they're still pretty good.

Nile
Immolation
Krisiun
Abigail Williams
Dreaming Dead

This one I would like to go to as well, but I didn't see it anywhere in NY. This area is probably the least populated with people listening to metal.

DevilDriver
Behemoth
Suffocation
Shinning
Goatwhore
Thy Will Be Done
Septic Flesh
Acaro

This one I wanted to go to so bad, of course my parents were being pussies on me again though. Suffocation, Behemoth and DevilDriver on the same lineup is just orgasmic.

New Exodus = Understandable
Old Exodus = Amazing.

Seriously - Bonded By Blood, Fabulous Disaster and Pleasures Of The Flesh are all fucking amazing albums.

Honestly, that is the one thing I always disagree with people about.

I'm scared of her bush.

Mutiny Within - These guys are going to suck ass, no doubt.

Are you kidding?

There vocalist is the only good memeber of the band, his voice is great - He just uses it in a shittie way.

Which is sort of funny, since it's the most populated area in the US.

Suffocation and Shining are both soooooooooooooo fucking amazing, i'm going just for those two bands.

The rest of the bands are all good, but not as.

Riverside - Rapid Eye Movement

Riverside have announced they're going on a headling US + Canada tour in June/July!

I'm sooooooooooo excited for this, they are going to headline so that means they'll play a 3 hour long gig like they do every night in Europe....HOPEFULLY.

Gamma Ray have confirmed their new album To the Metal to be out on 29th January. That's a good way to start what could be a significant year for heavy metal.

Holy War is great. But you should check out the other three as well. Ivory plains is pretty bland except for Storming Across heaven. Pretty bad production values. But Astronomy and Starfall are great! Cassiopeia pwns me in the face.

Just in time for a discussion on cheesey power metal! Excellent, I only have Holy War by them, and it was one of my favorite power albums for a while.

You guys should really check out Starfall and Astronomy. They're good albums. Jonas Heidgert is amazing.

Good and cheesey are not mutually exclusive. And Symphony X are cheesey because, among other things, their tendency to be over-the-top. And I'd really say Symphony X are more power/prog, not power.

While this theory works, it just stabs hard at the way I think. I think bands can either do things the right way and the wrong way, and cheese has always made me put the thumbs down on stuff. A little cheese is ok, but the closest thing to power metal I listen to is Slough Feg. Because I think Symphony X do things the wrong way. Also, Edguy fucking suck from the shit I've heard.

I think there can be such a thing as too cheesy in music, but rarely do bands ever do that for me.
I love the cheese, because I love power. And vice versa. I think that what makes Power so great is its cheesy optimism. It doesn't take itself too seriously, they just sing about fantasy and happy things. One of the main reasons I love Dragonforce is how pumped full of optimism it is in almost every song.

You can't look at these lyrics and tell me they don't make you feel amazing.
