And without the burger.
And without the catsup.
the bun would remain, however.
I don't like ketchup on my burger anyways.

I love ketchup. I used to hate lettuce and tomatoes, but now I like both, but only on my burger. And I only like the tomatoes for their texture, I still hate the taste, but if there's very few tomatoes then I am good.

Tomatoes taste like anus except in mexican food. Ketchup is amazing on a plain burger, but it has to be without cheese. Ketchup and cheese taste like horse anus.

Power metal can never like ketchup.

Bullshit, tomatoes taste like anus all the time. Ketchup is okay on a plain burger, but cheese on a plain burger is godly. You can't mix the two, but ketchup is NOTHING compared to cheese.

I like lettuce on whatever nowadays - and I, like you, didn't used to.
I'm coming round to tomatos in that I like them on my chicken salad sammich, otherwise no. And especially not if they're big slices.

And little chunks in spag-bol make me gag.

Agreed. Cheese is the condiment of the gods.
Also, horse raddish, tartar sauce, mayo, and ranch all taste like poop.

If its melted its sickly.

Tartar sauce is fucking ace! I used to love that stuff.
And mayo has grown on me, but its no salad cream.

i love cheese, especially melted. it adds moisture to otherwise dry foods. veggie burgers suck without cheese. and onions fucking rule, i love onions on burgers, even if they give me bad breath.

The perfect burger for me is patty, cheese, and bacon, nothing else. I can't stand all that messy sauce and vegetable shit, it distracts you from the pure flavor. Grilled of course, with lots of seasonings. Succulent and juicy. I had a good burger for supper today. Lightly toasted buns kick ass too.

Very nice. Mine would be slightly different, though.

I would take a lightly toasted sesame seed bun, with a medium-well juicy patty, melted swiss cheese on the bottom bun, cheddar cheese on the top, lightly salted, lots of pepper and meat seasonings.

Match that with greasy potato fries and an Arizona raspberry iced tea... see ya.

I will write this down and try it sometime it sounds epic. I've never had raspberry iced tea though. Arizona tea is fucking boss. I love the honey kind and the green tea cans that come in huge cans for a dollar. I drink it like water.

I love Power Metal. But if its not cheesey, then it can't be good.
Death is gorey.
Doom is miserable.
Power is cheese.

That is so wrong... in so many ways...
How are Symphony X anywhere near cheesy music? And they are still somehow power metal. And one of the greatest bands in all Metal history if not in all music history... which is basically the same cause metal is the best music in the world.

And sorry if I don't join in your cheeseburger or whatever... fight you guys are having.

Other than this, I have discovered that Amon Amarth means Mount Doom in Sindarian (one of the many different elvish languages)
So here's another band to add to the "Tolking influenced metal bands"
But I think it's just normal to see artists using Tolkien's amazing universe. He is probably the best fiction writer that this world as ever seen. The greatest for sooooo many good reasons.

I think that it suits Black Metal and Folk Metal (or Black/Folk) a lot more than it fits Power Metal...
Even if I do not see things exactly like Nev, there is still a lot of cheese in Power Metal... and they tend to make Tolkien's universe look like some pony ride through a freakin fag forest or somethin...

Good and cheesey are not mutually exclusive. And Symphony X are cheesey because, among other things, their tendency to be over-the-top. And I'd really say Symphony X are more power/prog, not power.

In other words, they are both progressive metal AND power metal.

It's like saying "Opeth aren't progressive metal, they're death prog!"

it's hard to classify opeth as just death or just prog, because their being labeled as one genre will inevitably be an inadequate description of their overall sound, and such is the case with symphony x: to describe them as power metal would not give justice to their proggy tendencies, just as a description of them as solely prog would not give justice to their cheese level.

Hey, I'm a fan of their music. Power of the Dragonflame and Holy Thunderforce are some damn good songs. :) I'm still needing to get Legendary Tales and Symphony of Enchanted Lands Part II and I'll be sure to get them sometime before the new album comes out in March.

Im almost embarrassed to show Rhapsody to others, because their immediate reaction before saying they love them is a GIGANTIC facepalm.

More love for Rhapsody is needed.

I still don't see why most you guys hate power metal.

I obviously like the most well known bands but when it comes to lesser known stuff, there is so much uninspiring stuff that it makes me reluctant to look into more power metal. I'm only wanting to listen to bands that stand out well from others but for now, I feel I have a good amount of bands to listen to. Around 25 artists from that genre alone is good enough for me for the time being. Sure, it may be nothing in comparison to your 1,000+ list of power metal bands you know but quality over quantity for me. :)

And besides, I need to look more into the other sub-genres of metal as some I feel I haven't paid enough attention to (black and doom) or I feel I could do with more artists from a certain category (traditional and thrash).

I felt there latest album was there only one worth getting, there first three albums are so boring - At least with the new one it is very catchy.

I actually think DragonForce's best album is Valley of the Damned and I have no shame in admitting that I still enjoy it.

Dragonforce don't have any really great albums, but this one I have to second is their best. Although, they still suck live.
