Dead and Gone, Soul Reactor

There we go, bands that I HAVEN'T heard of.

Going to check them out.

And guys, how come every time I go on metal-archives my computer fucking freezes up and crashes? I'd love to go on that site, but I know what's going to happen after 30 tries.

Because that site fucks with everyone's computers.

MUNICIPAL WASTE TONIGHT!

Kick ass, oh yeah and four other bands I haven't heard of.

Municipal Waste - Horny For Blood.

Make war, not love.

They're not bands, they're songs by The Absence. I had a slight feeling I was being unclear -.-

And capn., I will do!

Leaving in ten minutes, intoxication and eradication will follow.

I have recently fallen in love with High on Fire. When I found out that my friend had all their albums, I borrowed them without permission. He knows now after being pissed for about 7 hours that he couldn't find them. Now it is almost constantly being played around my house.

It's all in how you treat it. Experiencing great things a second time, but with an altered perception, is as close as I'll get to experiencing that great thing for the first time. This is why I sometimes partake. I don't know how people drink and smoke on the regular though. That has always seemed odd to me.

I need some more black metal to listen too if anyone could give me a few exceptionally good bands, i quite like the more depressing black metal but whatever you have to reccomend is greatly appreciated.

Speaking of black metal, is Immortal's latest album worth picking up? I gave the title track a listen to and it caught my attention really well.

Good depressing black metal:

Forgotten Tomb is great depressing black metal. That's really the only band I have, although I'd like to dig deeper into the sub genre as well.

forgotten woods are also quite depressing, as are striborg

Dunno how many of these are depressing, but here's a list of all the black metal bands I listen to:

Dark Fortress
Blodsrit
Gorgoroth
Tsjuder
Krypt
Dimmu Borgir
Dark Funeral
Behemoth
Moonspell
Dissection
Immortal
1349
Heaven Shall Burn

Some do it for that reason. I have partaken a few times before, but nothing retarded. Honestly, I think it is absolutely ridiculous for Marijuana to be illegal. Alcohol is legal and kills people, weed is illegal and cannot be overdosed on, and helps people reduce stress.

Uh. Why?

But anyways. This isn't 420chan. I tried out Shadow Host's Curse of the Angeleye, and it's pretty alright. I haven't discovered any good old school Power bands in a while. But it's nothing to go apeshit over finding. If you have the opportunity, give it a listen.

And to mothballs- I'm starting to really like A Hill to Die Upon. Thanks for the recommendation.

I'd say you're only a boring drug user if you do it to have a good time. I know totally normal guys who rule at life and they smoke occasionally.

I'm not gonna nitpick you though, Nev, 'cause I know you were exaggerating to make a point.

Behemoth are the best place to start here, and also check out the early Dimmu Borgir not the later stuff. Dark Funeral are a good choice too.
Have you heard Chrone Division? Shagrath's side project?

Impaled Nazarene.. Not depressing, quite punk-ish, but one of the best.
Gehenna is also really good, i dont know if its depressing, but it surely is atmospheric.

Alright guys...I feel like a total dumbass asking this question, but how do I find out when and where metal shows are going on around my area? This site doesn't work, and this site makes me feel even worse about my problems. SOMEOEN HALP MEH D:

Thanks man...all I found though was Overkill, Vader, and God Dethroned on May 1st. Shit, nobody in New York listens to metal...and why the hell is Cannibal Corpse supporting Hatebreed? Putting them in the same lineup is bad enough, but supporting them?

This is actually really fun.

Because the mainstream audience that loves one band usually always loves the other.

Why do you care? Both bands suck ass.

Anyway, Municipal Waste last night...

The show cost was only 15 USD!

"Beyond The Line Of Sight" apparently canceled last minute, no problem for me though. (Although two people at the show were reeeeeeeeeeeeally pissed off)

"Cauldron" was the first band to play, the played for 30 minutes and I got to say - Even though their drummer was insane, they were QUITE boring. The bassist was incredibly suckish, the guitarist was very generic and he overdid it way to much with the solos and the singer was a falsetto vocalist(Which makes me think they're power metal, but it's so simple and boring i'd hate to call it that) but I couldn't hear him at all because the mics were being screwie all night.

"Phobia" was a grindcore band(It's the USA one, there's like twenty phobia's) they played for 45 minutes - They played 30 or so songs(All of which are between a minute and 3 minutes long) ALL their songs sounded exactly the same, but maybe that's just grindcore in general... anyway, these guys were surprisingly technical so it was fun to watch. The first ten seconds these guys played and the crowd went BERSERK, like - Toxic Waltz mosh pit berserk.

"Brutal Truth" played for an hour, and I thought they were really boring personally. (The other people in the audience loved it though, so it must've just been me)

Then Municipal Waste also played for around 80 minutes and were AMAZING. Every single person in the audience was either moshing, headbanging like fuck or crowd surfing.

MW said THEMSELVES that we were one of the best crowds they've ever played in front of!

Also, their were LOTS of bare tits on stage when they played Boner City.

I'd like to say that Municipal Waste is now the most INTENSE crowd I have ever seen.

Make war, not love.
