hey guys, I got banned again, so here i am, posting with an alt. Uh, nothing new, except I'm doing a new song. It's not going to be a part of any album, but it will contain the speed of Marduk, the energy of Tormentor (the one with Attila Csihar) and the atmosphere of DMDS. It's going to be really "garage" and it's going to be the epitome of kvlt black metal.

Also, if you're still wondering who's alt I am, ask somebody else, because I don't want to tell.

Speaking of the atmosphere of DMDS, ever heard Frost - Talking to God? For some reason, that album reminds me heaps of DMDS.

Ok... only half of the bands you have posted are metal... and most people would consider only 2 of them being metal...
AC/DC is Hard Rock, Slipknot is Nu-Metal, and GNR is Rock aswell.

Black Sabbath and Metallica would be the two, and Led Zeppelin was the 3rd one. btw, the genre isnt called heavy metal, its metal, heavy metal is what the classic metal bands like Sabbath and Judas Priest are. Metallica is Thrash Metal, and Sabbath also has a little Doom Metal in there. Nu-Metal is a controversial sub genre that is hated by almost all metalheads, and while it is welcome in this topic to a degree... it dosnt fit in with the rest of the disscusion at all.

Metal and Rock are two completely different genres... and here is what wikipedia says about the band:

I'd like to know if there is any other fans of the band named Kalmah, its a band from Finland just like Children of Bodom, Nightwish and Sinergy, its also very good, I think that Kalmah can be classified in Black Metal or maybe in Speed Metal, its very good and original, I have never heard guitar solos like the solos in their songs, the singer is not that great but is voice fits with the music so its very good

Well, I'm not a drummer and I spend so much time on playing guitar so I have no time for drums :P The guitar playing is getting a lot better though, started working on another song recently.

Kalmah are teh same genre as COB, speed/power metal, but they just have harsher vocals. I actually prefer Kalmah over COB for their vocals, cause it sounds more black metal. But remember, it's not the vocals that classify a genre.
