I always get that feeling of disappointment when reading Daath as well.

I don't think Keanu is a good actor, really. He's acceptable as Neo and Ted. Spike may not be a demanding role, but I don't like Keanu Reeves.

He did play Ted though.
He deserves a special place in everyones heart for that :).

I can't be sure. The sound was very muddy.
It's possible though, the violin parts seem a bit familiar.
I don't hear it.
I didn't mean in terms of the music, but appearance - I should of specified that.
The bassist and one of the guitarists both wore baggy clothes + dreads. They totally could of passed for whoever in Korn has dreads and baggy clothes :P.

Is there stuff after that still good? It may not be black metal, so what is it? Death metal? Thrash Metal? Death Thrash? Blackened death metal? Cause I'm good with all of those genres as well.

I hate it when bassists play live with a four string.
I mean, it's ok if it's for practice, rehearsal or even for recording - But live if you need less than 5 or 6 strings then I find it sad.
But yeah, 6 string basses and 7 string guitars are my favorites - but ONLY if they can play them great.

Depends on the bassist.

I also get confused with those names. It's even annoying when I go through the CDs in the music store and see Daath which I almost confuse it with Death. Some of these shops don't even get any Death CDs in store. :(
Speaking of music stores, I was in HMV yesterday and I saw Ensiferum in "rock & pop" when clearly it should be in metal...Who the hell categorizes music in these shops?

I was about to make the argument that they can't demand that everyone who works there have an in-depth knowledge of music, but I suppose all you'd need to do is listen to it first.

Again, I don't hate those people - Which you said I did.
are you guys seriously arguing about what bass a musician uses? that's garbage. the bass doesn't make the musician. they choose their bass to fit their playing style; their playing style isn't dictated by the amount of strings.
people use five and six string basses because it's easier to go into the higher register. don't assume that because someone uses a four-string, their music is simpler because they lack strings. the Bass of Doom (Jaco Pastorius' bass) was a four-string fretless, but he could do more with it than most pretentious proggies with six-strings.
as for disliking bassists because they use five or six string basses when the guitarist isn't using an extended range: what? i don't even know why this is a problem. it shouldn't matter what their gear is, it should just matter what the music sounds like.
i don't even understand why we are having this argument. i can't even think of any musical analogies to make because this argument is so ridiculous.

It is.
But I think Dent's point was about the shape of 5/6 strings body contours.
Otherwise I can't see his point.
The fifth note on a five string depends. It could be a high C or a low B depending on the bassist, although the overwhelming majority use the low B.
Which I use too.
Here I am, bored with everything.
Bill, they probably used four strings because it was cheaper than getting extended ranges, or at the time extended ranges were for jazz guys exclusively.

I think its just preference.
Cause using your theory, with everyone today being endorsed by companies, surely everyone would be using 5/6 basses or 7/8 string guitars?
I just think a lot of musicians don't really give a shit about the extra string.
