Most metal fans enjoyed and had Pantera influence their musicial taste at some point or another - shut up.
I did. But the way I see it is that my taste has evolved and now I'm listening to stuff that to for me is far superior. In comparrison, Pantera are shit and they didn't have the staying power of Megadeth.
Alright, hey everybody! I absolutely HATE Iron Maiden - In my opinion they are incredibly boring, their guitarists(all of them) are totally overrated and their lyrics are shit.
Also, you can never hear the bass guitar, and don't even try to point out the obvious countless number of songs where you can hear the bass, because my opinion will stay the same about that too!
Also, while I acknowledge I thought they were great once, I have moved on to other bands like Judas Priest who are obviously superior while being jsut as much overrated!
It's like eating ready made pasta meals from a supermarket, and then moving to Italy and marrying a totally babelicious Italian cook, who cooks you delicious authentic pasta dishes whilst sucking your dick.
Seriously, shut up. Pantera aren't the best band, and they aren't the most influencial.
But guess what? THEY WERE NOTHING BUT METAL AND IN THE LATE 80'S AND 90'S THEY THRASHED, HARD.
Fuck Grove Metal, I don't even consider that a legitimate genre - In my opinion, they were thrash metal but just a different style of thrash.
Calling Grove Metal a different genre from thrash metal is like saying Speed Metal is a different genre from power metal.
John Petrucci is totally the best guitarist in Dream Theater!
