Wow, weird to be back here after two years. I remember Metal Hell when it was on page 5 or something... Hi guys. I don't know you. Except from BruceAllMighty, I remember him I think, I'm Lydia.

I look like any other girl.

Only I am in fact a death/black/grind fiend and a moshpit-addict.

Please to be reacquainted.

I love how almost all the topics you've posted in are about metal, women or sex.

Yes, I browsed through your posts.

Is it wrong i'm paranoid of damage to any of my CDs?

It's either going to be epic or suckish like Unia.

Anyway, this song is officially my favorite song by Kataklysm. Best part is the lyrics, they are easily my favorite melodic metal band now.

That should be good. wait til you see how much Doug Pinnick, the bassist of King's X, looks like a gay black Abe from Abe's Odyssey, especially if he's still got his Abe hair style.

Wait to leave out quoting The Masochist Divine. :P (Should be interesting to see there singer/guitarist play the guitar perfectly, sing well and remember the lyrics all at the same time)

All three bands should be great, I hope Porcupine Tree play for a loooooooong time, in fact they better since it's suuuuuuuuuch a far drive and it's a school night and it costed 45 fucking bucks.

Riverside stuff.

Response to Metal Hell 2009-09-21 19:14:21

Yeah, well I am a little less of die-hard black-death than I used to be. Maturity. Noes.
But I still like my fair share of Marduk, Gorgoroth, Behexen and such. You know, typical stuff. And when I need a dose of lulz I always find myself running back at the good old Immortal music videos. Hilarious.

I used to cringe at stuff like Rhapsody, or even at stuff like Primal Fear and Candlemass. Now I stare at Messiah and grin happily.
:P

I think I might stick around this time.

Vader's new album comes out tomorrow, is that correct?

If so, I'm getting no sleep tonight.

Response to Metal Hell 2009-09-21 19:39:42

Ok hear is the deal, I never really got into Black Metal, Venom kinda killed it for me and some wannabe shit so I need some recommendations.
Now I don't get into all the let's crucify for satan church burning shit, more atmosphere if ya know what I mean.

As far as atmospheric recommendations go, there's a few bands I like but they're nazis, so being Greek I cringe heavily at their lyrics. Like Wolfnacht. Wolfnacht's night of the werewolf is an awesome album. But you just CANT find it. If you manage to, I will be amazed.
Now personally I love Agalloch for example. At times they are more like apocalyptic folk, but as I adore apocalyptic folk, it suits me fine.
Behemoth was good until 2005 in my opinion.
Nattefrost's a poser, but his music is ok. Naglfar are good, but also on the loser-ish side style-wise.
Ulver are really good, both their BM and their nu-atmospheric era. Tiamat also underwent a style mutation, but I still like them. Grand Belial's Kay are grand (seriously. I especially like the song mourners flock to Gesthemane). God Dethroned are too speedy for my tedner tastes, but they have some nice songs. Acheron are nazi scum but have a couple of brilliant songs. Gaahlskagg are perhaps too much of a 'nordic forest ritual' cliche, but I think they have a future. And of course there is Deathspell Omega, the French prodigies. They have gained shitloadz of repect somehow.

Too bored to think of more right now.

As for me:

Megadeth/Slayer - 8th October 2009.

Miss out on Screamfest, which im totally pissed about because i really wanted to see Dark Funeral and Destruction, as well as all the other bands there >:C

Yup, Sonata Arctica's is also.

Two great bands both releasing an album on the same day.

And Dent, out of all 13 shows i'm going to it will only cost me $322.50 - That's not a whole lot for 53 bands, is it? (Counting the same bands on different nights as multiple bands)

Symphony X - Accolade II

In a argument with a huge thrash metal friend of mine on facebook right now - Hes basically saying Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree and Symphony X are all so similar that they all suck.

That's still a lot of money, though it's a good deal for all those bands. Where do you come up with this money?

No, don't do it.

That is NOT worth it, i'm highly doubting Porcupine Tree, King's X and the Masochist Divine for $45.00 is going to be worth it.

Speaking of which, how much is Screamfest? And is it all on one day or what?

If it is all one day, how long will each act play? :O

$140 on the 31st, $130 on the 1st.

Put both together and its $270. Unless half are playing one day and the other half the next, i'd say just pick a day and go.

It doesn't say whose playing on which day though. haha

Cynic
Dark Funeral
Destroyer 666
Destruction
Edguy
Ensiferum
Rotting Christ
Sonata Arcitca
Spawn of Possession
Black Majesty
Darker Half
Defamer
Eyefear
Eye of the Enemy
Killrazer
Synperium
Universum
Vanishing Point
Virgin Black

I'm not going to say, that's a fucking epic lineup.

Plus, on New Years Eve in Australlia:

Bonded By Blood
Evile
Warbringer
Mantic Ritual
Celebration Of Life
Gama Bomb
SAQ
Thrash Or Die

You're missing three great days of music because of your silly trip to Europe, I gotta say - I feel really sorry for you.
