Saying: *Insert some black person name here* would have been better than him for the role in the movie Ghost.

It is literally porn. Like proper hardcore porn.
I'm not linking as its naughty to do so, but it won't be hard to find :).
Katherine Jenkins - Habanera (Premiere)
Don't forget it's on their official website too.
And it's porn. No penetration, but enough tits and vaginas to please anyway.
Here I am, bored with everything.
Fuck me, there's some penetration.
Whatever. Watch it, it's funny.

Just noticed that by the last 30 seconds it becomes full on porn.

what a fail...
So i've basically become obsessed with Opeth lately, haha.
And man, the rifts in "In The Mist She Was Standing" is way fucking more epic than I remember it.
Also, looked up their setlist online both times I saw them(First was with Nactymystium and High On Fire, the second time was with Enslaved and Flesh Unlimited)
First time in late '08:
1. Heir Apparent
2. The Grand Conjuration
3. Serenity Painted Death
4. Hope Leaves
5. The Lotus Eater
6. Bleak
7. The Night And The Silent Water
8. Deliverance
9.Demon Of The Fall
ENCORE:
10. The Drapery Falls
The second time I saw them, in may of this year:
1. Heir Apparent
2. Ghost of Perdition
3. Godhead's Lament
4. The Leper Affinity
5. Credence
6. Hessian Peel
7. Closure
8. The Night and the Silent Water
9. The Lotus Eater
ENCORE:
10.Deliverance
Man, even though shows were great there setlists were waaaaaaaaaaaaay too short! :P
Opeth - In The Mist She Was Standing

Same here.
Man, even though shows were great there setlists were waaaaaaaaaaaaay too short! :P
But when I saw them in May, they played Karma for the first time. And they had a jam session in the middle of Closure which made it like 10 minutes.
But I read an interview with Martin Lopez (he's not in the band anymore, but I hope what he said still stands) and he was saying that Opeth would love to play with Tool. How awesome of a concert would that be?

Not very, Tool would play for like three hours and Opeth would play an even shorter set list. :P
Opeth - Silhouette (Listening to Orchid, great album - Really defines Opeth's style)

Yeah, I guess, but if they both played like 4 hour sets that'd be fucking amazing.

I love that song. It's my second favoite Opeth instrumental after Ending Credits.
At 9/17/09 02:39 AM, jew193 wrote: I love that song. It's my second favoite Opeth instrumental after Ending Credits.
They don't have that many instrumental only songs so saying 2nd favorite isn't that big of an accomplishment. :P
But man, everything about the guitars and bass on this album is just mad epic.
Opeth - The Twilight Is My Robe

Still. I'm saying I like it a lot.

Yeah. I especially love the acoustic intro of The Apostles in Triumph. Fucking epic.
Opeth - The Twilight Is My Robe
win

I lol'd, you do realize that the intro to that song is SUPPOSED to be the second half of Requiem, right? When they were making the album they fucked up and put it at the start of Apostles instead of at the end of Requiem.
Opeth - Advent (Listening to Morning Rise now)

No. But you have to agree, it's awesome either way. I always wondered why the transition there wasn't very smooth though,
Opeth - Advent (Listening to Morning Rise now)

You should never ever listen to music like this.

Well done, well done :)
And I didn't know the acoustic intro to Apostle in Triumph was meant to be in Requiem. I always liked that bit though.
Does anyone else here dislike that weird acoustic wobbly thing that starts at like 3:30 in Advent? I mean it's fine when it's just acoustic but at 4:00 it just doesn't work for me with the distortion.
Fuck, I'm not usually that picky.
Wtf. Why won't you guys stop constantly talking about Opeth?
I personally find them boring, and incredibly overrated.
I feel like I'm the only one in here that listens to the heavier stuff. You guys usually talk about the Following 5 things:
Power metal
Opeth
Dream Theater
Porcupine tree
Admitting and rejecting new guys.
Like seriously. Wtf.
Am I the only one to notice this?
I feel like I'm completely musically excluded from the discussion.
At 9/17/09 05:38 AM, Kiddmeizter wrote: Power metal
I beg to differ, we don't talk about power metal anywheeeeeeeeeeeere enough in my opinion.
Porcupine tree
When was the last time someone mentioned them that it wasn't just a side note?
Let alone a full on conversation?
I feel like I'm completely musically excluded from the discussion.
Then start a new discussion, jesus it's not hard to say "ZOMG GUYS I GOT THIS ALBUM AND IT'S GREAT!" or "WHAT ARE SOME GOOD BANDS OF THIS GENRE WITH BLAH AND BLAH ELEMENTS?" or anything of that sort.
What we talk about too much:
Melodic Death Metal
Technical Death
Brutal Death Metal
Dream Theater
And that's pretty much it, any other topic that we talk about a lot we usually do but not anywhere nearly as much as those genres.
Personally, i'd love having a conversation about thrash metal but I can't ever get more than one or two replies when I try cause you guys are all busy listening to your technical death shit and your Avant-Garde shit.
Those genres aren't actually shit. :P
Well, I myself would be interested in finding some new Slam death.
Preferably with some good production, and very bassy. To listen to in the car.
Currently I'm loving Abominable Putridity. And, I don't really like slam death with many blast beats.
Help moi out?

I don't think it's anything to do with maturity, some of us just came back to Opeth and appreciated them more all of sudden.

The Leper Affinity, Harvest, hell, the whole album is so damn awesome!

I feel like I've been out of the loop here. The only Dark Tranquility song I recall hearing is an Iron Maiden cover. If they're any good, I really should look into them more.

This I find very surprising.

I heard the song, not bad but the video, holy shit! As for the single cover, goddamn my eyes are burning!

I couldn't agree more. Most of the time, I'm listening to albums in their entirely.

We last discussed any power metal bands 4 days ago.
Opeth
Dream Theater
Both awesome bands so why not?
Porcupine tree
They're not discussed a lot here.
Admitting and rejecting new guys.
This is a problem because?

Seriously. We've talked more about Rammstein's new song that Porcupine Tree's new album.
I would have had My redo done today but the fuckign camra died halfway thru the recording!!! Im gonna get it done I think you'll bee most pleased with this redo.
Yep I totally just fucked my throat. The fucking thing wouldn't record past 3:29. Im thinking it's from the previous videos. I put new batterys in but yeah I did that twice now for nouthing and seriously fucked my throat. I won't be doing it till next week now.
I haven't seen two much discussion of Porcupine Tree EVER in this thread, to be honest.

Don't think Meshuggah is melodic, but they definitely are good. I like the guitars and drums of In Flames, but IMO the vocals are better in Insomnium.
I'll listen to Kataklysm now, since they seem to be the favorite of most.
