Lunar Strain - Don't own it.
The Jester Race - Great album
Whoracle - great album
Colony - Don't own it.
Clayman - Don't own it.
Reroute to Remain - I hated this album, even worth than A Sense Of Purpose in my opinion.
Soundtrack to Your Escape - In my opinion, their best album. Honest.
Come Clarity - It was a breath of fresh air in my opinion.
A Sense of Purpose - Bad, but The Chosen Pessimist is amazing - Also unlike Reroute to remain, this album has some catchy melodic moments.
Dark Tranquility (however you spell it.) is a great melo death band.

Coming from a fan of metalcore?
I own two soilwork albums: Natural born Chaos and Stabbing The Drama
Anything else I should add to my album collection?
Also, Soilwork kick ass live - I saw them with Darkane, Warbringer and Swallow The Sun in February.

Like I said, there is good -core and there is bad -core...
and Soilwork and In Flames are bad -core.

Such great albums. Stabbing The Drama is the best of them all.
Anything else I should add to my album collection?
In this order:
The Chainheart Machine
Figure Number Five
Predator's Portrait
Also, Soilwork kick ass live - I saw them with Darkane, Warbringer and Swallow The Sun in February.
I missed that show :'(

How was Swallow The Sun? I really like them, and would like to see them live sometime.

What do you think? I think it's a load of BS and will be horrible like their last album.
But they are also apparently playing a few songs of that album at each show of their world tour, so if you go and see them tell me what you think of the new songs."
Well, just look at Metallica. Lars Ulrich thought that St. Anger and Death Magnetic were great albums. I mean, of course a band is gonna say that the album is gonna be great. Do you think they'd say "nah, it's not gonna be that good. Don't guy it"?
Wait wait wait, forget what I said
opposite order
Predator's Portrait
Figure Number Five
The Chainheart Machine
I think Steelbath Suicide is great, but I don't know it as much as I know the other albums so... I won't give you meaningless suggestions :P

Fuck yeah, I recently checked them out too, going to see them in Janurary :D with Edguy.
Also happy 2,000th everyone!
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.

They kicked ass, they basically played one really long medley alternating between parts of there 35 minute song Plague Of Butterflies and other songs.

That's what I thought, but I guess I like all those bands save MCR, Bodom, Killswitch and Papa Roach.
I guess I can stand Bodom and Roach if I'm drunk though.

I agree. Both would be great, but Lopez would be my first choice.
Not really. There are other bands that have had waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more line up changes than Opeth
Yeah, that's what I thought when I read that.

I prefer Death.
Perhaps it's to do with being earlier and having more albums?
Aaaaaaah it all comes back to that doesn't it.
I missed 2,000. That's what school will do I guess. Fuck up your life.
I seriously doubt I'm going to graduate next year :(
I get A's and B's in some shit but I fail others. Because they're shit and I'd rather be getting high and skating.
Heeheehee
I failed to mention the thing I came here to say, hoho.
The only thing that saves Endgame from being shit are the kick arse solos and the cool riffs every now and then.
Other than that. Pure poopage.

90's Opeth FTW.
6. Watershed
Highly underrated album, sure it doesn't have Peter but whatever - It's still a master piece.
7. Ghost Reveries
8. Damnation
I guess
9. Deliverance
Lol no.
Riverside - I Believe!
What the fuck is wrong musically with Blackwater Park? It's better than Deliverance, Ghost Reveries and Watershed.

The Jester Race - Great album
Agreed with The Jester Race. The only other In Flames album I own is Lunar Strain and I got that since I knew Behind Space very well. I find the album to be very enjoyable, despite the out of place violins.
Whoracle - great album
Colony - Don't own it.
Still need to get these two.
At 9/16/09 05:56 AM, PenisClown wrote: What the fuck is wrong musically with Blackwater Park?
This. Blackwater Park is a masterpiece. My sister even thought so after giving the album just a mere few listens while it took me 30 listens to acknowledge that. >:(
I guess you could say it's overrated because it's the most popular, the most praised by casual fans, the most commercially successful I guess, the easiest to obtain (Some CD stores only have BP, my one has Damnation and Ghost Reveries though) and it's the album where Opeth became a lot more famous. These things aside it is musically fucking brilliant, in my opinion. Other people don't get it. I remember when I first listened to it I didn't like it, I made a post here saying "No more Opeth for me". Someone else agreed and said they didn't like them either.
I would have to say I was more musically immature then. Now I'm a bigger fan of progressive music.
Besides Blackwater Park itself, Bleak and The Drapery Falls the whole album is rather...mih to me.

The Leper Affinity is a fucking amazing song also. The Funeral Portrait wasn't the best song, but still really good.

Alright, but I know saw an interview or something with Lars Ulrich, and he thought that Death Magnetic was fucking amazing. Like he thought it was a masterpiece. And I didn't read that whole article, but the headline said Hetfield thought it failed. I said Ulrich said it was good. I might be wrong though.

Well I've not listened to Ghost Reveries or Delieverance, so that might have something to do with it :P.
And I've only heard Ghost of Perdition/Grand Conjuration live. And they played both in 2006 and then seperately on different tours, so I don't know the difference. I just know its one or the other :).

I don't rate it much myself.
I've said this loads of times but as an album its boring. Even if some of the individual songs are fantastic.
