I was a fan of them way long ago, haven't listened to them in so long that I don't remember how good or bad they were.

I listen to Hatebreed. That is, if you count having one of their songs in iTunes listening.

Also on this note of bands you hate but have to see...no. You either see the band because you want to, or you don't bother wasting money on something you're just going to stand there and be all 'nah this is shit'.

Also, Metallica. I was a big fan back when i first heard them, I'm still a big fan now, and I'll still be a big fan of them, Black album and up included and such.

Yeah, the worst I've come across is Helloween's Halloween which the horrendous video and the atrocious cut still makes me rage even to this day! How on earth could you shorten a 13 minute track to 4 1/2 minutes (the intro was Initiation)? It is a fucking disgrace!

It's worth picking up.

Abridged songs are good for somebody who is trying to get into a band, but finds the longer songs harder to digest. They can listen to the real version later.

Calling SikTh mathcore really doesn't do them justice. Meshuggah's not really core-y either. What I don't get though is that apparently mathcore and progressive metalcore are 2 entirely seperate genres. Because classification of music needed to be more confusing.

em, a lot of the guys in here will tell you most -core isn't metal at all, with the occasional exception of grindcore. But I consider these bands who stay on the verge between Melodeath and Deathcore to be both metal and -core bands.
