Progressive thrash metal needs to become a genre of metal, it has SOOOOO much potential.
I mean, i'd listen to more technical 20 minute thrash metal song with actual MEANING in the lyrics and maybe an acoustic break here or there other a normal 4 minute thrash metal song anyday. (I'd still listen to the latter though. :D)
I've come close: I mean some of Dream Theater and Symphony X's 2000's stuff sort of has kind of a thrashie style, but it's not thrashie enough! And some of Megadeth and Murdered By Death's stuff has sort of a progie feel to it, but it's not progrie enough!
What do you guys think?
I think Murdered By Death should evolve their sort of progie thrash metal style into full on Progressive Thrash Metal and other new bands need to rise up with that style.
Progressive Thrash Metal could be so epic.
