Mediocre show tonight. One good band. The only other band I cared for was only because my friend played bass in it, but it really wasn't my thing. I did get a nice demo and shirt out of the whole deal though. Demo is #53/100. I felt bad for the guys though. They came from Ireland and weren't even the headlining act. Pretty lame in my mind considering the band that did headline only did because they were the local band from here and everyone seems to ride their balls nonstop. Bah.

Ouch. I could've gotten either one. For some reason Score looked much better. It was worth it for the unreleased Falling Into Infinity song and Innocence Faded. But not only that, AN ORCHESTRA. And Octavarium. AND 6DOIT. It takes them like 40 minutes to get through that mother.

Also, I have concluded that the song ACOS > the song Octavarium.

And Idio, nice shit. I totally know what you're going for and hopefully you will get it sounding good. Can't wait.

With a few exceptions here and there, the lack of variety still seemed to be the same as ever to me.

I wouldn't count on DragonForce drastically changing their style, however. Inhuman Rampage, as bad as it was in comparison to their previous works, made them popular. They're gonna milk it as long as they can.

After Guitar Hero III, this doesn't surprise me, but I still wish they could improve themselves.

I've got Warriors of the World

Any good?

Really? I've heard a mixed reception for the album, so I wasn't sure whether to get it or not. I probably will eventually, but before that, I should get the rest of the pre-2000 albums by them.

Acquisitions:
Manowar - Hail to England
Manowar - The Triumph of Steel
Bloodbath - Resurrection Through Carnage

Also against what folk in here said I decided to go with the Individual Thought Patterns Death shirt. I just thought it looked waaaaay cooler. Sadly, it was out of stock so I'm gonna have to wait like a month for it :(.

OH! THE! PHILOSOPHER! YOU KNOW SO MUCH ABOUT NOTHING AT ALL!

I thought the orchestra wasn't used as well as it could have been. S&M was a great example of good use. Score just seemed more for the novelty of having a load of people on stage. It didn't realy improve the music in any way.

Also, I have concluded that the song ACOS > the song Octavarium.

Dur, no shit.

Hail to England is good and its probably more your thing than mine, but on first listen it was alright.
Haven't listened to Triumph of Steel yet but I have previously heard 'Achilles... ' and thats a good song (even if the drum solo goes on for too fucking long).

Really? I've heard a mixed reception for the album, so I wasn't sure whether to get it or not. I probably will eventually, but before that, I should get the rest of the pre-2000 albums by them.

I've heard it has a few great tracks and a load of waffle. But 'Sons of Odin' and 'God of War' are amazing songs.

I have two important questions that I need people to answer.

1. I thought it was pronounced "Meh-sha-gah", but people have been pronouncing it "Mah-Sugar" which is hilarious and I'm hoping that isn't the correct pronunciation.

2. WHAT ARE THE GREATEST METAL VIDEOS EVER? I just learned how to download Youtube videos and put them on my iPod so I need to fill it with awesomeness.

I have no idea what the proper pronounciation is, I say it like "mesh-hugger" (lol) out of instinct, then feel like I'm saying it wrong, I probably am.

Holy fuck.

According to my recent acquisition of Persistence of Time, Anthrax used to be awesome.

It contradicts all established historical evidence.

I've always pictured Anthrax as the little kid in the that follows Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer around and lets them put out cigarettes in his eyes and they piss in his cupped hands when there's no toilet nearby.

1st thing

It's pronounced exactly as it's spelled Meh-shu-gah. I never thought it was a difficult proposition but it also could be due to the fact that it's Yiddish and I'm from New York.

2nd thing

Here's the tab, in jpeg form. It can be played in either D Standard or E Standard.

Meshuggah means "crazy" and it's pronounced as it is spelled.

too much filler and just a couple of good songs, if I recall. lots of useless spoken word stuff. It's been a long time since I listened to anything by Manowar, though. That "I am thy friend" song, whatever it's called, is just gay. not literally gay, not Manowar gay, just gay. Gods of War is definitely the highlight of the album. It's catchy and quite good.

Exactly. Trump only gets laid because of his money. That's absolutely it. I am a New Yorker like he is, but he annoys me on a multitude of levels--specifically because of his excessive wealth, power, narcissism and the shittiest looking comb-over ever.
