My vote goes to Sun on Water, but it's a really hard choice. Either way it's cool.

Also, fucking Lord Weird Slough Feg have badass lyrics.

Been listening to The Human Abstract, and they're awesome, I'll buy Nocturne at some point, sounds like a fucking good album.

Also I bought 5FDP, The Way of the Fist, I really like this band, it's interesting how the instruments sound metal enough, but the vocals are mostly clean, I like it.

I love metal like crackheads love anal. and crack.

Sorry Bill, but Sun on Water is officially the name of my new project.

Thanks guys, expect some good stuff later.

I got their album a while ago as well, and i have to say, I was really disappointed. For a band with such a badass name, the instrumentals were OK, but the vocals, in my opinion, weren't that good. There are so many other bands with great clean/growl vocal combinations, like Opeth and Scar Symmetry, but 5FDP isn't one of them.

You just checked them out? I think I introduced them to D3nt and Ponos, or at least D3nt. I love Sky Chariots.

I don't remember you doing so. But its not a surprise.

My reasons for checking them out is mainly Ponos' love for them, given how they aren't what he's currently liking during this particular phase of his.
So surely they must of been something special :P.

Wow son! This hoodie is great!
I'm much more of a t-shirt guy, but the logo is awesome and design of it fits really well for a hoodie.

And I'm surprised no one bitched the guy who dared saying he liked The Human Abstract :P

btw, I made a review of one of their songs in my profile and I'm not getting a lot of comments. Still I would like to know if my reviews are any good, cause I want to get better at writting in English and also at expressing my opinions properly in English.

Thanks boys and if THA is not your type, just check my first two Song Of The Week reviews :)

what's wrong with them? or whats wrong with having a diverse musical taste? I may like all sorts of stuff but I mainly only post about metal bands here, even if they are sometimes core bands, I like core...

They are definitely in my Top 3 bands of all time. And they shall remain so forever.

Traveller is indeed a good album, the best part is that EVERY TIME you listen to it IT GETS FUCKING BETTER.

I got Down Among the Deadmen, the one before Traveller, and it is also great. I'm guessing they get better as they go too, so I'm looking forward to my next acquisition.

I noticed D3nt talking about them hear, but I assumed from the name they were some death/black band so I never checked em out. When I noticed how fucking much D3nt was listening to them on his Last.fm page I discovered they were true blue heavy metal with folk influence and I was like 'boner'.

I love Sky Chariots.

I'm not liking this 'phase' talk. Given I was a kinda phasy person but I'm not anymore. This was mainly due to marijuana smoking, and the fact that it makes you like EVERYTHING and hate things less.

Grohl along with Josh Homme are my idols.

QOTSA is like putting Nirvana and Kyuss together. The strangest thing is, there are members from Nirvana and Kyuss in QOTSA.

I'm a Nirvana fan, is anyone else? Two years ago I would've called them faggy mainstream butt fuckers.

Also I am impartial to Foo Fighters. (In other words I think they're fucking fantastic.)

That's definitely where they shine. I have Live and Wembley Stadium at it is one of the best DVD's ever.

Cept the gay acoustic middle bit.

SO back to metal i hear?

Considering Dave Grohl played in QOTSA and they came from ashes of Kyuss, we should be able to suck Dave Grohl's dick as much as we want?

.... Back to metal.

Album reccomendations?

I think Ultra Beatdown was a step in the right direction.

There was a lot more variation in there than Sonic Firestorm and Inhuman Rampage. Or, Inhuman Rampage, at least.

I have to disagree. The only song that sounded different (and worth listening to IMO) was Reasons to Live. The rest of the album had nothing new to offer from the band, which is what really disappointed me about Ultra Beatdown.

Response to Metal Hell 2009-05-04 10:38:52

I don't really like Dragonforce much anymore, they were the first metal band (lol) I got into when I was 13 I think, then I just started listening to random bands from then on.

I do respect them somewhat though, but herman makes it hard to justify that respect when he shows off.

I might buy Valley of the Damned, I love that song and Fury of the Storm is good too.
