It probably fits every DragonForce song.
And speaking of DragonForce I listened to Heart of a Dragon and Valley of the Damned today. Fantastic stuff. Shame they became utter shite.

Also got Exodus' 'Bonded by Blood'.
And the Aliens/Predator boxset (with all 4 Alien films, both Predator and both Predator vs Alien) :D.

And Mirrors Edge.

hope it didn't cost a lot, because you might as well have just bought Alien, Aliens, and the first Predator, since everything else in both franchises are shit.

And Mirrors Edge.

I want that game. I had fun with just the tutorial.

My girlfriend offered me this beautiful gift...
one of the greatest Death Metal albums to ever get recorded.

I wish anyone in here to find himself the perfect love. Not cause the girl will buy you the greatest gifts... of course... but only because... I think that my girlfriend is awesome :)

Meh it won't last.
You'll just be heart broken and destroyed.
*Puts The Cure on to match sentiments*

... The Cure - Pictures of You (Disintegration)

Also after my expressions of boner for Valley of the Damned's songs I decided to get the album. So, I got it. Valley of the Damned. By DragonForce.

This whole weekend i haven't listened to any metal, just Tool.

I REGRET NOTHING.

I listened to Blind Guardian before taking the SATs, and as a result, I had Into the Storm stuck in my head the whole time.

I probably did really well as a result of being so pumped up.

I joined here about 2 months ago, but due to school and stuff, I was only able to post once or twice. So do I need to post a new list, or can I just jump in on the conversation?

What are some of Enslaved's better albums? I'm gonna see them in concert with Opeth in a couple weeks, and I want to at least know some of their songs.

Response to Metal Hell 2009-05-03 02:44:20

I've only got Enslaved's 2nd and 3rd albums. And they're fucking mindblowing. Just get their latest couple I reckon, if they're going to play anything it'll be them.

Oh yes, no doubt that's their best album. Afterwards, things didn't go too well with the band and their latest album....Ugh. I'm hoping they'll do something better for whenever they make another album, but is it really worth hoping for them to try something new?

I think Ultra Beatdown was a step in the right direction.

There was a lot more variation in there than Sonic Firestorm and Inhuman Rampage. Or, Inhuman Rampage, at least.

Yah QOTSA.

Oh by the way, the death/doom project is turning into a drone doom/shoegaze project, just letting you guys know. I'll still need some programmed drums (well, frankly because I'm lazy), but otherwise I'm set. I have one song written so far that 's called "I'm No God", (mind you its 20 minutes long) and I have some ideas for a second (probably going to be around the same length).

It won't be boring, but it's going to be pretty much like Jesu, vocals and all, but not as down-tuned. I'm making better use of counterpoint and dissonance so expect some interesting bassline choices and riffs.

I still haven't named the project yet, but I have some names I'm considering, and I need some feed back. So pick one of the following:

Locust Furnace (name of an old project, actually. the name is lifted from a Godflesh song)
Sun on Water
Towers
Traum (there's an umlaut over the "a" which translates to dream in German)

Here I am, bored with everything.

Thanks broski. I was really leaning towards that name anyway. I'm planning on saving Locust Furnace for something different and probably more metallic.

Sun on Water just has a nice vibe to it.
Here is another name you may consider.
Unsui.
It is Japanese, I learned it from The Way of Zen Guitar.
It's literal translation is "Clouds on Water"
It means Seeker of the Way.
Just a thought.
Peace.

That's a cool name too. I don't think I would use the Japanese word but the translation rather. Clouds on Water sounds cool, but so does Sun on Water. Now I'm in a real pickle. Both names sound nice and fit the aura I'm going for.

Let me weigh the pros and cons

Sun on Water
Cool Name
I can make some pretty good cover art pertaining to it as well as album titles.
It reminds me of Demillich for whatever reason.

Clouds on Water
Cool name.
More grammatically correct.
I can have a logo (namely the kanji)
Reminds me of Jesu.

OH DECISIONS! All right, I'm going to need a second vote. Clouds on Water or Sun on Water?

Here I am, bored with everything.

Who am I?

Your naked corpse is as beautiful
As the dawn when it comes with the first sunray
But it was your peeled bleached bones
That really took my breath away

Admiring your beauty my wonderful rose
Oh what pleasures you'll give me
Before you decompose
But the darkness has fallen and the clock strikes ten
Excuse me my darling but the shadows
Are calling again
