I have to admit, I lost all my respect for Cryptopsy as people and musicians when they lashed out at and alienated their old fans that hated the new sound. You go from being an archetype of death metal, let alone Canadian music, to some generic "deathcore" band. Of course the fans that liked your old music will hate your new sound. But doing shit like they have been doing would be like Metallica going, "Fuck all the fans of our good albums. If you don't love everything after Metallica, including Load, Reload and St. Anger, we don't want anything to do with you."

Yeah, the technical degree and musicianship aswell as lyrical competancy just may be higher on Cryptopsy's first two albums than these bands. But I'd still prefer to listen to Pestilence and Suffocation than Cryptopsy. Jesus.

And the Suffocation albums

Effigy of the Forgotten (1991)
Breeding the Spawn (1993)

And I would gladly listen to any of them instead of Blasphemy Made Flesh and None so Vile. They're full of modern leanings and breakdowns.

I'm scared that I just don't like anything with a modern production. Like if the old 80's albums I love were re-recorded I'd hate them. That's scaring me right now man.

Here's the problem: I've already tried that, maybe about 3 times just today alone. I last tried jogging just a few hours ago for several minutes. And again, using a blindfold and earplugs to aid me in sleeping isn't working either. I'm already completely tired out physically, but there's so much going on in my mind that I'm at a loss as to what to do.

I can't sleep for more than 5, 10, maybe 20 minutes without the old fuck's sudden loud yelling waking me up, and I'm really trying my hardest. I have to deal with this torment all day and night and it's not fun. I have no idea when, or if, this is ever going to subside.

Ponos, I'm not taking any hallucinogens. Haven't done any in a little while. What I'm experiencing is absolutely not drug-induced at all, and I've had countless similar (but not as extreme) episodes like this since last spring.

Anyways, for the past few month's ive been obsessed with Thrash metal, especially this "Old School Thrash" craze. Saw Municipal waste last night with Lamb Of God, Bodom, As I lay Dying (who suck) and god forbid. Got to meet them, they signed my shirt, etc. I've also been listening to Kreator, Exodus, Evile, etc. Things like that. And i'd like a few more of that Genre. Also, don't look into my favorite bands on my profile, haven't updated it since the redesign took place and i regret ever liking some of those bands.

Also, the Opeth Hessian Peel thing made me lol pretty hard, knew about it a while ago though.
