So, I just got all the good Cryptopsy albums. (ie. the first three)

I must say, Blasphemy Made Flesh is my favourite. After listening to it all the way through, it's got a real old-school Death Metal vibe to it. And the bass is probably more audible than on any other record I've listened to. By comparison, None so Vile seems pretentious. Whisper Supremacy isn't awful, but DiSalvo isn't the greatest singer in the world, and while the pretentiousness remains, the incredible musical skill seems to have gone.

Should I bother getting the others? Because word on the street is that they aren't too good.

I used to think Cryptopsy's first two albums were good.

But then I started to like death metal.

I saw them on friday.....and let's just say this:

The palladium holds 10,000 people at most and the show was sold out.

The doors opened at 6:00 PM and the show started @ 7:00.....all the bands played for so long the show ended @ 2:00 AM.

I think Belphegor was good but not great.

But all four other bands were purely epic mosh and headbanging material.

I just got Lifelover's new CD...and I gotta say that its seriously one of the best things I've heard to come from the dsbm world in about 2 years

Mind the intro scream...its amazing, but loud as hell.

Another really good band that I found is Reaktor 4...they are sorta like Summoning only industrial.

I think its a unique sound, but its not very difficult, and its sorta repetitive, so if you dont like it, its understandable

other then that...I cant find any new "good" or "unique" black metal artists...all of it seems to have died in the early 90s

I think None So Vile is pretty good, but it wasn't perfect.

The amount of technicality in there is amazing. And Lord Worm is probably one of the best Death Metal vocalists ever.
