I'll take the blame here, I should've let smeagol go when he was being homophobic/anti-vegetarian.

Same man... same. =(
His up-coming albums better be amazing to compensate this loss.
=============================
In other news I've finally got around to checking out Vomitory and God Among Insects. Bosth bands are absolutely orgasmic.
GAI has Lord K. so it was gonna be a win from the get go.
But both bands are sweet as Old School-ish Death Metal with a slight modern twist.
This signature makes use of various clichés and/or 'emotional' lyrics/quotes, hopefully it makes me appear deep.
Listen to older Vomitory before the newer stuff. I find the older stuff better and the newer albums boring after a while.
Following up on what Bill said before about getting Mastodon's new album (and me being a fan of the band myself), i will back him up in telling you all to go out and BUY this album. Soon as i pull some funds together im definitely going to get it myself, it really is quite a nice bit of work. Crack The Skye and The Last Baron are top songs.
||Metal Hell||C&C Regular||My TF2 (created in Garrys Mod) Series: Trouble in the Intel Room - Featuring FPS scenes! *le gasp!* - This weeks sig by: ParadoxVoid
Technical / Progressive Groove Metal? I will have to have a quick listen. I've always avoided Mastodon.
Mastodon - Iron Tusk
Similar artists
Lamb of God
Meshuggah
Pantera
I like none of those bands.
And I heard bits of good and bits of horrid.
No Mastodon for me thankyou.

You hit the nail on the head there. On slower days, I don't have much to say, but other times, I have a lot to say. It just depends, really. You're also right about my posts being swamped as there's usually at least 30 posts a day in the Metal Hell. Maybe I should make an extra post here on most days.
but I always read your stuff, and its not like you're being ignored through lack of quality/relativity.
I know my posts are read and I assume quite often, people don't have much to say to my posts.
I remember when I was homophobic, but I stopped that bullshit ages ago, because if you're insulting gays, you're also insulting musicians such as Rob Halford as well as other great people in this world. You stopped being homophobic :P?
It may be a surprise to you, but yes.

Oh yeah, I remember your review for that album on MA. Your review was one of the main reasons why I decided to get that album before the others. That and the fact that Kai Hansen, Piet Sielck AND Thomen Stauch are in the first album as well as Hansi Kursch as a guest. :D

I don't know why, but I can't seem to love Crack the Skye as much as you two do. I still enjoy the album, but not as much as you two are.

Never been able to listen to them either. Don't know why. Same with SYL. :/
On another note, I've relapsed back into early Horna and Heresi.
Just listened to Blood and Thunder. The core influence was less, but there was a lot of MEH. The Rage Against the Machine I'm listening to right now wipe a very shitty floor with Mastodon.
And I agree that Ghoul's MA reviews kick arse. I think the only one I don't agree with is the Under the Sign of Hell one. I'm so completely over Gorgoroth it ain't funny. It's meh to the meh. Though that would definitely be their best album, I think that sticking to their old school black metal style like Pentagram and Antichrist would've been better. Now they're classics.
I feel silly for not knowing Horna now, Brucey how good are they? Gimme the scoop. And are Heresi worth acquiring?

Even though I haven't had a chance to listen more than twice to each of the albums I got:
Redemption
Blood Rapture
Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize
Redemption is my favourite s far but TBS is also growing on me.

If you're into the newer Raw Black Metal scene like Ondskapt, Antaeus and Glorior Belli you will probably like it.

Somebody give me a cool Death metal lyrics subject?
I prefer Philosophical and such, No Satanism or Over Gory stuff pl0x.

Best part of Blood and Thunder: the lyrics.

One of my favorite Fin bands of all time. See if you can get Kohti Yhdeksan. Horna goes really well with Pentagram and Antichrist, since you brought them up.
Also, that death metal thread in general makes my eyes bleed.

stfu, its annoying to hear about metal that has little talent...
well aside from the drummers, and the guitarists...most of the singers have no talent.

Im sorry, I was a little annoyed with Nev's remark...they do have talent, but I dont see much of it...again my apologies

Why thank you. It's where I get my writing energy out.

Yeah, but I still listen to Under the Sign of Hell. I don't really listen to Pentagram or Antichrist that often anymore. I dunno why, they just don't really do it for me. When I listen to UTSOH, I can picture 3 or 4 demons rehearsing in their garage in the deepest ghetto of hell. It's so savage and like a dildo from hell shoved in your ears. I know every song from that album by heart and my band is covering one of them (Oggeledelse og Undergang), and as well we also do a twin guitar version of Krig just for fun.
Yes, black metal screaming may be hard, but to tell you the truth, it's easy as balls. I am practicing singing (actual singing) and it's fukken hard. All you have to do with screaming is belt out like you're an orc. To sing requires control, lung power, and proper technique so you don't shred your vocal cords.
