Really? I love Hansi's voice, he and whoever the dude from Angra is (Edu Falaschi?) are my favorite power vocalists.

I think that Nergal and Ihsahn are much better

Dude, comparing Hansi Kursch to Nergal and Ihsahn is comparing apples to oranges. This isn't even a matter of personal taste between similar artists, this is just a matter of liking certain kinds of vocals.

I think I've gone off Hansi. I used to love his voice and I listened to some BG for the first time in a while the other night and I just didn't see what I liked.
Of course, he's good, but I dunno. Didn't strike me like it once did.

Maybe I just didn't enjoy singing along in bed which is what I wanted to do. Kiske is good for that, though :).

I dunno if it's their best,

It's the best of their old stuff, ANATO being the best of their new stuff

Banish from Sanctuary and Valhalla are my favorite songs.

Ditto man, and Beyond the Ice is fucking ace as well.

False.

I second that. I mean, when Hansi sings "NOOOOOOOOOOOO... NO TURNING BAAAAAAAAAACK" I get fucking pumped. That, and my meds (which are like pharmeceutical crank I swear) probably get me pumped too. Just a thought.

But in terms of music for driving fast, Follow the Blind fucking kicks ass.

This I would not know about, because I do not drive :P I would probably be a careful driver, because the thought of driving scares the shit out of me, 'cause you have such a huge responsibility to not hit people and I have a tendency to kind of space out.

This I can get behind :).
Favourite song from that album.

Favourite lyrics from them though:
"She's like the sunrise
Outshines the Moon at night
Precious like starlight
She will bring in a murderous price"

I love those for a few reasons. Sadly one of though reasons tainted nowadays, but I still love it nonetheless.

Driving + metal = awesome. It's one of the many ways everyone should experience listening to it. I myself am only limited to 90km as of now on highways, but eventually ill be hitting 110km singing with my mates to epic power metal.

Ditto dude. Terrified of it. I can just see myself start concentrating on matching song tempos with the gaps in those lines in the road and then crashing into someone.

I'd like to get a bike but I find it impractical for any kind of long distance travel, or for shopping and stuff.
And that Seinfeld episode where Kramer talks to that biker bloke on his way to Hollywood shit me up.

I trust that Seinfeld is completely factually accurate :P.

I was obviously kidding. I've been in this club long enough to know we get off on tangents incredibly often.

Also, Brucie, I can't seem to find Professor Fate anywhere?

I was tempted to buy Audiosurf today, but i said no, im probably going to buy Guitar Hero later in May, so screw it. Until then all i can say i beat you assholes at is i can play Just One Fix on guitar...most of it anyway.

Yes, im aware its basically the same riff played over and over sometimes changing, but it still wins.

Man, I missed a lot over the last 25 or so hours. I often miss out on these big discussions that lead to having two new pages in a short amount of time, but that's just me.

Funny, because at one point, I thought Follow the Blind was their best. However, I changed my opinions and think Imaginations is their best. Follow the Blind is still fucking awesome, however.

Fuck yes! I absolutely love the riffs in Follow the Blind. As soon as I heard Banish From Sanctuary for the very first time, I was blown away! Although I already listened to the album again the other day, I have to listen to it again now that we're talking about it.

But in terms of music for driving fast, Follow the Blind fucking kicks ass.

Same here, but there's always video games with custom soundtrack. For driving games, it may not be exactly like driving an actual car, but for someone who doesn't drive such as myself, it's good enough. I was playing GTA3 a lot a month ago on my laptop and the custom soundtrack made the game even better for me.

Khold would be the closest I got to Blind Guardian...and they rlly arent all that similar.
