My mom listens to obscure communist rallies for some reason, even though she isnt even a commie. I´ve heard my dad play Opeth and Motorhead in the car, and we´re going to a Heaven and hell concert this summer.

my dad likes blues, classic rock, jazz, classical, motown, disco, and the metal bands he likes are, Black Sabbath, Accept, Motorhead, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Ozzy, Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, and Opeth

Did you just put your balls on my sandwich?

Ffffuuuccckkk guys I need help.
Shoe help.
I happen to think these shoes are the sex. And pretty metal. I'm just wondering what you think of them, and ignore the price, I can get them cheaper. And I'm not getting boot versions, I want to be able to wear them most places.
Yeah I know this might not be the place, but when in metal hell!

Response to Metal Hell 2009-02-09 15:21:53

My mother likes Glam Rock and RnB.

I don't have a father, however.

The majority of my family refers to what I listen to as 'Devil's Music'. And tend to blame whatever negative emotions I may be feeling at the time on it.

Yeah, the Six Counties are basically the Irish equivalent of the Bible Belt.

They look even gayer than the boot form.
In fact the only people who should wear them are teenage female Dimmu Borgir fans.
I could barely respect a (legal) girl wearing them... unless I was drunk. And even then it wouldn't be respect.

Guys just shouldn't wear them.

You've not changed my mind though, maybe in 4 years people won't respect me in them, right now, its a yes.

Same here except they call it 'noise', until i own them with a massive argument as to why it isn't, and how it doesn't make me angry or aggressive.

My dad usually prefers classic rock - so he isn't totally against it. Some of the grindcore tracks I listen to clearly piss him off though.

Ordered them, they look sexy to me.
On a more metal note, guardians of asgard is an epic song. The chorus is amazing.

I lost the respect of uber-metal heads on the internet, but gained some (I think) sexy shoes.
Was it worth it?

YES ):<

You'll lose more than our respect, trust me.
Theres a reason you only see those at Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth concerts.
Try and guess what that reason is.

I'm fifteen, I don't give a shit what people think. They look good. If it was a different make I would still get them. And in two years, yes, maybe I would be ashamed of wearing them when going to real, hardcore concerts.
Right now, it's all good. And if you people care that much about what shoes people wear, then, uhhh...Yeah.

Gay.
My Parents and Family in General are Atheist.

My mom Listens to ABBA and other mainstream stuff, But she likes Gojira and Cynic (also My band Iblis ;D) , she just says it's not something she'd listen to all the time.
The more Brutal, Satanic and Violent stuff, my mom just said she had nothing against it, as it is a Macabre form of art, but It's still art, might not be her taste but she has nothing against it, and she's happy I find my own ways. :D

My Mom is awesome.
My Stepdad just has no Opinion on it, doesn't like it but doesn't criticize and just asks me not to play my music too loud.
My siblings all don't really mind it, they've grown up with me listening to it since I was like 11 :)
My Older brother is really musically educated and he says most metal takes the distortion too far, and that Growl are often out of tune, which sounds bad to him.

Also, Iblis is recording Demo, THIS WEEKEND!
I will upload all the tracks onto the Audio portal once finished.
Tracklist:
1.Beneath
2.It
3.Paracusia
4.Damnatio Memoriae
5. Still untitled

and we might have a 6th track, It's still being written

Opinions of cyber/technical type music, for all metal genres really ;3 I heard the song War by Wumpscut - I was very impressed. Also this has a good tune, although clearly not metal - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tNqNoc0z NU&feature=related

My dad listens to 80s metal not to my stuff. He said "I don't have time to listen to a bunch of fucking dogs barking."

Penis I've heard of Woods of Ypres. But I like this alot it gives you that warm fuzzy pure feeling.

Cyber? Doesn't that only apply to Cybergrind? Or do you mean all bands that include electronic musicianship? (ie: Industrial Black Metal)

And Technical... drooool... yes!
Gimme Psycroptic, Hour of Penance, Origin or Decrepit Birth etc, any day.

Love it.

Wumpscut is a great industrial band indeed check out more from them, i also like
Die In Winter by them.

Also this has a good tune, although clearly not metal - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tNqNoc0z NU&feature=related

Correct, its not metal, they lean more towards industrial. Quite good as well.

One day, i hope to find one of them stereotypical underground clubs/warehouses where they play nothing but industrial. With that same DJ up the top mixing with his gas-mask on. Although i have been told there is a club that plays metal somewhere in the city. Must check out.

My dad is a musician and was a hardcore punk bass player. And just kicked arse completely. He likes teh metuhls.

It was funny when I was listening to Electric Wizard and Sleep in the car, and he was all like, "Is this that new stoner stuff you're into?"

Suffocation definitely!
But Atheist, even though I massively respect them for their unparalleled skill. I'm not much into.
I like my DM more heavy, fast and brutal.

Speaking of Brutal Death Metal, recent find: Fleshgod Apocalypse
